Kid Rock on KROQ: Tommy Talks, Pam Walks

Kid Rock is trying to keep his distance from Tommy Lee, but it seems Kid's divorce from Pamela Anderson and the MTV punch fest threw some gasoline on the ex mess fire.
Click to hear!

Kid spoke openly on the "Kevin and Bean" morning show on L.A.'s KROQ, on his divorce from the blonde bombshell, and the MTV scuffle, claiming MTV placed him near Pam on the press line, and he questioned how he was seated so close to the Motley Crue drummer at the show.

Rock also described how the beef was ramped up during the split, when Tommy took Pam's BlackBerry and sent him obscene messages. "Thank God, I got out of it," he said of his brief marriage. He also made it clear that Tommy's mouth caused the fight -- not Pam. Kid said of Tommy, "He was doing what he does best, talk."

TMZ contacted reps for both Lee and Rock -- and we haven't heard back just yet.

31. You people saying they are too old to be at the VMA's are ridiculous. What, only people 30 and under like music? Britney Spears is young, and she was a joke. The boneheads that put the crappy show on are probably teens.

34. I hope Britney is paying attention- She can look at Pam Anderson and its like looking at a crystal ball- her future in 20 years.... Gone is any "talent"- (which was debateable to begin with) and all you are is a "sex symbol". And not the kind of sex everyone wants- more the kind that gives you the creeps... cartoon character indeed...

36. Well, of course MTV was going to seat them near each other! MTV is always looking for some controversy, to get publicity. Whoever was in charge of seating probably knew there was bad blood (no hep joke intended) between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee, so they seated them close to each other.

38. #27 Sorry but you are in denial. Name one show on MTV that is geared towards the 30+ age group. Name one host over the age of 25. MTV is geared towards the teen market up to age 25. If you are 30+ and enjoy watching those ridiculous reality shows, dating shows, etc then you are pretty sad. I'm sorry but thats my opinion.

41. #34huh? I am 32 and no, I don't watch MTV, I don't know anyone who does, they don't play music. You said Those 3 shouldn't have been there. I agree they are all lame, but age has nothing to do with the guests there. People of all ages have the right to be there. And even if I did watch MTV, I doubt at 32 I would be "sad" It is the youth of today, that is "sad"

42. Seating arrangements for ratings sake. Wish Pam had been there to catch a punch or two.

43. Canadian whores?? I don't think an American can say that with a straight face(ie Britney,Lindsey,Courtney etc) Anyway the Americian boys(er men) are fighting and I bet Tommy Lee would get his ass whooped.

44. This is not necessarily a vote of support for Kid Rock, but Tommy Lee has just "announced" leaving Motley Crue again.

How'd he do it? By not fulfilling commitments like scheduled shows and recording studio time, that sort of thing. Considering his inability to maintain the one thing anyone gave a damn for about him (come on, Hosehog... You know the tape was all about Pam), it's hard to imagine but Kid Rock almost, ALMOST, comes off as the responsible one.

Having said that, I'll now go wash my mouth out with Listerine ten or twenty times.

45. This is so funny yet pathetic at the same time. I think the jokers who put together the music awards show should set up an event and have Lee and Rock duke it out in a ring and just get the whole thing over with. Maybe Britney could be the ring girl.
