Don't be foolish into thinking that when you hurt other people, you are not hurting yourself in the process. Pay attention to the way you feel when you misuse the power you were given to do good? 65. Actually, if you go to a GGD show, you will see that the audience does not consist of a bunch of "old hags" but literally people from all age groups, male and female. That's because this band writes music that people in general can all relate to. I'm 18, and love all of their music, old and new.

And... they are not "a bunch of has beens," or did you forget the fact that they just broke their own record with the most top ten singles with their latest song?? They have had plenty of sold out shows on this tour, and most "has beens" usually cannot accomplish that.

As for Johnny... Can't you people take a joke?? You have no idea what the rest of that conversation was even about, so let's just stop being "retarded" and give him the benefit of the doubt. Oh, and if he was talking about himself, well then all I have to say is "Haha, that's probably true. I'm glad you are happy." I don't know why there are always people criticizing him, because he's done nothing but great things for this world. He is the most honest songwriter I know, and that's why this band has been so successful.

66. Ah yes, I must address this......Redsonja, I also happen to be 5"8 and wear a size 8. I had the unequivocal pleasure of meeting the Goo Goo Dolls just over two weeks ago before a show. Now, unless John somehow managed to conceal 3 inch heels in the tennis shoes he was wearing, or had quite a growth spur since you met him a few years ago, you have grossly misrepresented the man's stature. And for the record, he would have never been able to fit into the cargo shorts I was wearing for the occasion. He may be lean, muscular and quite fit, but he is certainly not petite.

67. TMZ, why is this news, but you can't be bothered to cover the charitable activities that John and the GGD's have been involved with for years? Nor can you be bothered to report anything about their extremely successful 18 month tour they just completed to sold out venues across the USA and the UK.

Instead now that he has a TV show looming in the horizon, you are reporting random "quotes" taken out of context, without knowing who he was referring to, (since it can't be concluded that he was even talking about himself") and printing them in an obvious attempt at making him seem like a jerk.

You could print bits of quotes from anyone's overheard conversation and make anyone sound like a jerk. It doesn't take a journalistic genius to do that.

69. Just for your information. I am not a paid blogger, but thanks for the compliment. I am a proud GOO GOO DOLL FAN who writes the truth about the band. By coincidence, I happen to be highly educated and have a great respect for music and I care about human beings. My background is in science, I'm not even a writer. What you've read here has nothing to do with my education, but the power of infinite intelligence that lies within all of us being put to good use. Incredible, isn't it? We all have access to it.

Who you perceive here is in part a product of an album called, Let Love In. In case you don't know, its the band's latest album. If you're not familiar with John's work take a listen to their latest single, Before Its Too Late, and pay attention to the lyrics, you may learn something. Hard to believe that people would speak up for the band in this way. If you were among us you it wouldn't cross your mind.

You are joining TMZ in hurting our Frontman and you are just hurting yourself. You can't touch him nor can you hurt us. You are being used to get attention. Do you really think that these people would back you up or even offer you a meal in time of need. I, a GGD fan would offer that to you! That's what we stand for. We don't belong in this joint and TMZ should if wise remove this posting from their site.

75. I think this comment was taken out of context, hence all the hate emails. John is an amazing, talented artist who seems to also be a great person with a huge heart. What I don't get is how people somehow manage to make time to trash other people - I would never spend precious time hating on anyone, unless of course, they were truly horrendous, or maybe W, but that's a whole different story.
