Ryan Seacrest: Britney Fan Club Cardholder

For years now, smiley Ryan Seacrest has always been on the side of even the most unlistenable "Idol" hopeful, and now this year's "Primetime Emmy Awards" host is rooting for Crazytown train wreck Britney Spears to make a comeback. Lord knows Brit Brit needs all the support she can get!

The chatty Seacrest was on his way to a taping for "Larry King Live," when he was asked how he felt about Britney. Ryan seemed almost defensive as he told TMZ, "We've got to root for her comeback. This is the greatest opportunity for a comeback a pop star has had in a while." Opportunity knocking -- perhaps at the Emmys?

Spears has the backing of Ryan, and at least one ka-razy superfan, Chris Crocker. Maybe she hasn't lost it after all.

31. Ryan come out of closet you gay.

32. To Poster No. 27: HUH? Let me quote you re Ryan Seacrest:

(1) "...bottom line his Job is to trash b Bash Celecrities like all TV shows do. I watched Mr. Seacrest talk about Britney and he was no different than all the others in trashing her."

(2) "Without US, Ryan Seacrest and the rest of TV land wouldn't be!!!"

(3) "... and since his job is to dish dirt like the very people he talks about ."

True questions for you that I would really like you to respond to:

(1) Where did you watch/hear him trashing Britney? On what TV show or media outlet? I would truly like to know b/c if I am not aware of him trashing Britney, then my original post isn't accurate.

(2) Um, sorry, but I have to STRONGLY disagree with this statement. I don't think that the posters on any board make or break ANYONE in TV land.

(3) Did he get a job with tmz?

(4) Do you even know who Ryan Seacrest is? Sounds like you might have him mixed up with someone else.

As for my money comment, I take it back. I was just trying to make the point that he is an "extremely" highly paid celeb. I was trying to equate the amount of money that he is paid to "perform" (all inclusive word for all that he does) to his knowledge of what is good and what is bad and who has potential and who does not have potential in the "performing arts" industry. E.g., I believe he has a better handle on winners and loses in the industry than the posters on this board do (myself included). I like to believe that his opinions are unbiased - I can't see where there is any value for him in whether Britney makes a come back or not. I still believe that since he is highly paid for what he does, that is an indication that he is good at his job (which I do not think includes trashing "b Bash Celecrities").

The only negative comment(s) that I've seen, heard about or read about him making were directed towards Simon Cowel (and, on occassion, Paula Abdul). Yes, that, I DO believe is part of his job on AI but I like to think that is all in good fun. And, to be honest, Simon is the one who comes back with the really nasty retorts directed at Ryan BUT Ryan puts himself out there and gives Simon the opening to do so b/c Ryan is good at what he does (and THAT helps the ratings).

I'm looking forward to Ryan emceeing the Emmys. I'll think he'll be fabulous and funny w/o having to slander anyone or anyone's kids.

P.S. Support for Britney all the way (as if you need to be reminded).

33. To Poster 32: UGH. Who CARES if he is gay or isn't gay? Who CARES if you're gay or not gay? Who CARES if I'm gay or not GAY? YES, this IS 2007 not 1958. To each his own, right? Including respect for privacy and being able to decide on how you want to handle your personal life.

I truly hope that it doesn't get to the point where Ryan has a photog in his face every move he makes just so the world can know what his sexual orientation is.

If Ryan is gay (I couldn't care less, but in my opinion, I have no reason to think that he is - I don't have the privledge of lurking around backstage at AI and seeing his "so called" boyfriend), it is his option to handle his personal life in any way that he wants.

If you are gay, then yes, if you know for sure that Ryan is gay, then you, as part of the gay community, have a vested interest in him coming out - I agree does help naive and prejudice individuals accept a lifestyle that they may not be very accepting of. I personally like to see famous people "come out" b/c I believe that it does make people realize, "Hey, no big deal."

But I stick to my opinion ... let people handle their personal lives however they want to.

34. Since when did Ryan Seacrest become an expert on anything? And why does his every comment have to be printed or run on TV? Is the American public really that starved for "entertainment" news?

So he's pulling for Britney, big deal. Most of America quit caring a long time ago!

35. Like all stories, there is a beginning and end. The only thing Britney did wrong ....was swim within K-Feds sight! AND like all leeches, once they've fed (don't pardon the pun) and they can't suck anything more out of their hosts, they fall off, leaving the same host anemic and struggling to get back what they lost!

36. To 36. I don't see any post here that refers to Seacreast as "an expert on anything". I, personally, have not read or seen ANY comments by Seacreast printed or run TV (only this first one on TMZ) - unless it is on Access Hollywood or E or one of those shows - I don't watch them. I really don't know where all of you posters get your (mis)information from.

Just curious why you think you are the current spokesmen for "most of America". What makes you an expert on that?

37.
Ryan gets on my nerves. His phony deposition, disingenuous questions and answers says it all about this phony baloney. One has to wonder, how do these folks in this industry stay sane? His dichotomy onscreen and offscreen has to test one's sanity and honesty. He bugs me. I wish he'd just come out of the closet, already. Ha Ha

As for Brittany, she has NO ONE to blame but herself, about her bad judgments and decisions. Managers, assistants, stylists. hairdresses, parents and loved ones, try to adivse this TrainWreck, but she doesn't listen. She's a mess. She needs a vacation from her current circle of influence (they can't be called friends) and travel the world and get a better perspective about what is real in life and learn more about her true self. She's lost her way :( I wish her well, only if she listens to others who want the best for her, otherwise she deserves the bad press and judgments and labels placed onto her.

38. I have zero respect for Seacrest because he denies who he really is. I don't know who he thinks he is fooling-he is so obviously GAY!
