TMZ Flashback: O.J.'s Gun Moves

Back in 1979, O.J. Simpson was about to move into the infamous Rockingham mansion -- which has since been completely torn down -- and didn't want a moving company handling his trophies. So he asked his neighbor for a little help, and then took the time to pose for these curious photos.

The neighbor helped O.J. load his trophies, including his Heisman, into a 1978 Chevy pickup, and Simpson posed with this Belgian machine gun that he also didn't trust to the moving company.

When asked why he had the gun, O.J. said, "Because Muhammad Ali and I have received death threats."

52. In the words of the great Robert Higgins...OJ's "neighbor" who phoned ABC and during the Bronco chase as OJ arrived at his mansion...while Peter Jennings hung on Mr. "Higgins" every word....."I see OJayyyy!" He am be in jail....without bail because he failed. What a waste.

53. OJ is finally going to jail, we all know he is a killer. I want to know who that guy in the photo with him is and why is his face blocked out? Did this guy sell OJ that gun? Does OJ work for this guy? Maybe this guy trained OJ to become the Manchurian candidate for Brentwood. This looks very bad for OJ, this picture looks like the one Lee Harvey Oswald took in his backyard, but the second shooter wasn't there to shake Lee's hand! There is a huge cover up going on here, this mysterious man in the yellow tee-shirt, could he be the mastermind of OJ's troubles???

56. It's not an assault weapon or a machine gun, both of which are select fire weapons. It's a semi-automatic version of the FN FAL.

OJ's got some good taste in weapons.

58. You know Americans and American culture is so hypocritical that it is going to fall on each other. Listen all white people - black people do not necessarily believe OJ is innocent however we rejoiced because for once we got away with the same crime white America has been doing for centuries and it wasn't anything that you could do about it. I am not justifying crime on either part however I challenge some of these white people that visit this site to see that we do indeed live in two different Americas. I mean would you get sentenced for 12 years for having consensual oral sex with a 15 year old while you are 17. I do not expect the privileged to freely give up these privileges -but hey that's why so many countries around the world hate you guys. Because at the end of the day you are narrow minded and one sided.

59. That's not a machine gun! Assuming it was fully automatic, at most , it would accurately be described as an automatic rifle. It was probably a (legal) semi-automatic however.

60. LOOK AT THE WHOLE STORY ! I THINK ALL THROUGH OJ'S LIFE HE HAS
BEEN GETTING OFF WITH THINGS. THE POLICE STOP HIM FOR A
SPEEDING TICKET, HE HAS NOT RECEIVED ONE, THEY TAKE HIS AUTOGRAPH. HE WAS STEALING CABLE AND SELLING DRUGS, HE WAS NOT CHARGED. HIS DAUGHTER CALLED THE POLICE AND SAID SHE WAS FRIGHTENED BECAUSE HER DAD WAS RANTING, I HEARD NOTHING OF THAT. WHO KNOWS THE THOUSANDS OF THINGS THE POLICE COULD OF CHARGE HIM WITH....THEY DID NOTHING. NO WONDER HE THINKS HE IS BEYOND THE LAW.I AM NOT SAYING HE IS AN INNOCENT PERSON, BUT I THINK THE LAW SHOULD TAKE SOME PUNISHMENT FOR HIS BEHAVIOUR.
WE HAVE TO HEAR ALL THE EVIDENCE BEFORE WE JUDGE HIM.UNFORTUNATLEY, YOU CAN NOT THINK OF THE LAST 13 YEARS, THE JURORS SAID "NOT GUILTY "
