The Fight for Nick Hogan's Car

Nick Hogan wants the wreckage of his car back -- but the father of critically injured John Graziano says not so fast, boy.
Nick Hogan Car
TMZ has obtained exclusive documents through PIO Wayne Shelor at the Clearwater Police Department, showing that Nick, through his attorneys, asked for his wreck back on August 28 -- and without searches, please -- adding that the vehicle might be "the subject of potential future litigation." Then it looks like Nick got yet another lawyer to represent him in the accident, and they sent a letter as well.

On September 5, Edward Graziano, the reportedly temperamental father of the still-hospitalized John, had his attorneys notify cops that they "preserve the vehicle so that we can have the opportunity to have our accident reconstructionist coordinate a date and time" to examine the wreck.

33. I believe there's been no charges yet until they know the outcome of John. Stands to reason that the charges will be different if he dies.

It also pays for the police to take their time in an investigation and learn absolutely everything they can about what happened. Including talking to ALL witnesses etc.

34. He is just to little to play with big boy toys. I think he wants his car back because he is afraid they will find something that will get him in more trouble. Maybe this will make him grow up a little bit and learn to take responsibility for his actions.

35. If you look at the evidence, he was probably speeding home because of his last ticket. Search the tmz site for his previous tickets and the last one states that he isn't allowed to drive from sunset to sunrise. The accident happened at 7:31 pm and sunset was 8:03 pm that day. He probably stayed out too late and had to speed home. Still no excuse, shouldn't have put himself in that position in the first place.

37. One, maybe 2 tickets is "being a normal 17 yr old." But what was it 4, then bragging about how the police let you off, is arrogance and disregard for the law or anyone else's safety

38. Hulkette, It is shocking how ignorant you are. I wonder if you are so stupd that you forget to breathe at times. "Accidents Happen". They sure do, especially when you are flying down the highway in excess of 100 MPH. Looks like u are a HulK fan by your name, so I guess that excuses Nick Hogan in your eyes. The passenger was CRITICALLY injured!!!! Or doesnt that matter because you are a "hulkamaniac". What if there happened to be another car in the path of the accident. What if someone you loved was in that other car and was killed, should we still just leave him alone, or would you feel differentally. Dear god you are a tragedy of a human being.

39. He was driving through D-town Clearwater and he missed all the alien worshipers? Man this kid is worthless. If you're gonna get someone, at least get one of those lemurs. It's funny I go through there to get to the beach every weekend and laugh at all the people walking around in their White button ups with Khaki pants. They are all brain washed. Anyway....I missed this crash by just an hour or so. I was at the beach that day....makes you think I could have been in his way. Poor kid.

40. Do any of you know Nick?? He is an extremely nice kid who had an accident! He is probably suffering as much as John. We are all praying for John down here and for his very sweet mother and his brother, but that doesn't mean we hate Nick. The Hogans are a good family and their son was in an accident. He wasn't drinking and he wasn't doing drugs. He was speeding and so was Danny, John's friend, in another car. Unfortunately he did lose control of the car.

41. I feel he should get what's coming to him ! i wonder if he is still driving they should revoke it until a hearing with the MVA with all those tickets and under age who's his insurance carrier ?? And aren't the other parents pressing charges or being bought off with $$$$

42. Hulkette what is wrong with you? That was not an accident it was an illegal street race with a bunch of stupid kids. I say that since nick thinks that his father is hulk hogan he can do whatever he wants, the police should charge him with attempted murder on his friend and if his friends dies he should then be charged with murder. He knew that what he was doing was deadly and illegal so manslaughter should not be a charge. He should spend the rest of his life in jail why, because Hogan Knows Best.

43. Tragic accident/collision. If that had been me or one of you at the wheel, you can bet your bottom $$$ that the key to the jail cell would be flushed down the comode. Your (or my) bail would have been set so HIGH that you or I would have no recourse but to stay incarcerated till you or I went to trial. It's utterly ridiculous the way justice swings the opposite way when a celebrity is involved.

Hope the culprit's family is taken to the cleaners when they are sued in civil court and we know they will be and they should be!

44. I love how everybody is saying Nick is the only one at fault here. Why didn't John tell Nick to slow down? How do we know John wasn't egging Nick on to race the other guy? I'm sure John was having a great time with Nick and unfortunately, they messed up and got into an accident. I'm not saying Nick isn't at fault here, but we don't know what was going on at the time.

45. This kid is out of control..another product of supreme parenting skills. HE is 17, why aren't they taking to task Daddy on this one? Lying about his kid, while annoying, can't really be blamed, it is his son. But his son needs a wake up call, hopefully this will be IT. I believe the WRONG kid is paying the largest price here. I wonder why Hulk has the power to prevent what any other kid would be going through right now, LEGAL charges, already filed?
What a complete farce.
