Phil Spector -- Hung?

The jury in the Phil Spector trial has indicated to a judge that they have been unable to come to reach a verdict.

Superior Court Judge Larry Fidler says he is considering giving the jury the option of weighing a possible manslaughter charge. The jury is currently considering only a second degree murder charge against the music producer.

The judge has just asked the jurors how they are split. The foreperson has told the judge they are divided 7 to 5. No word on how many are voting for a guilty verdict or how many are leaning towards acquittal.

If Phil Spector gets a pass on this, we as a country, community, and citizens are really the biggest losers, well including the California jury...oh my .... what are these people doing for god's sakes it's not Rocket Science........I wish someone would stop this maddness, what happened to good ole common sense. Alan Jackson fought so hard for Lana, but just like the others Phil made his money talk the loudest. Who could look at that horror of a man and( my god he was sleeping thru most of the trial) believe one word he has to say, oh yeah, he didn't take the stand and say one word. But that picture of Lana with her purse on her shoulder did.....

77. This truly makes me sad. What is wrong with our jury system here in LA? I know, we have people that are biased and uneducated, maybe it's time we have a system that requires people that must pass some basic test to be on a jury.
The evidence against OJ was overwhelming, he IS guilty. Robert Blake? GUILTY too.
If Phil Sector also gets away with murder, I think women in this town should be scared, very scared.

Did you not hear the witness (the driver) who said Spector came out of the house, with the gun in his hand....and said "I think I just shot somebody"???

Case Closed!!!! That's what you call a SMOKING GUN!!!!!! What do you need a video tape of the murder??

84. to LaLocka, didn't they say that the projectory of the bullet was upward? How could that be if he was above her? If he was directly in front of her preventing the blood from going any further then why wasn't his white jacket covered in blood? To Heather, I don't quite understand why they let hear say into evidence. The fellow who said he HEARd Spector SAY "I think I killed someone" spoke spanish fluently and English as a second language. By the time the trial came around he had been in America for 4 more years learning more English. He may have misunderstood at the time. He was also getting special treatment regarding staying in America in exchange for his testimony. That gives him a bias.

If that judge is half way smart, he will send that jury back to deliberate until they come to a decision or they will stay locked up in that jury room until hell freezes over..what is with California..seems like they nourish and feed the OJ Simpsons of California, Phil Spector'sm and so on and so forth...I don't know if these judges in California are elected and if not they should be..might be able to clean up the justice system if they knew there asses were on the line..
