167. This all illustrates EXACTLY what OJ Simpson said about the police not having been very helpful since he was found "not guilty" so long ago in the murder case. The police, courts and general public have held such a powerfull grudge against OJ when he got off practically scott free (I say practically because of the civil judgement in favor of those annoying Goldmans), that this is just another in a long line of unsuccessful vendetta efforts to "get him." Everyone but OJ was released in a timely fashion, all the parties he reportedly "stole" his own stuff from are known and wanted ex-cons, OJ NEVER even touched a weapon accoreding to both "victims", the auction guy, sets the whole thing up...and yet somehow the big case is all on OJ Simpson...ridiculous. Watch as this "case" falls apart and the media starts calling him the "Teflon Juice" or something.

Harass him with trumped-up charges enough, and no court in the U.S. will ever take OJ vendetta charges seriously again (a la "boy who cried wolf" effect). Good job people, hound him enough to satisfy your vendetta and he'll be "untouchable" eventually!

171. First: He wasn't found "innocent", he was found "not guilty." Big difference. In law the verdict of "not guilty" means "not proven beyond a reasonabe doubt." It doesn't mean that he didn't do it or even that the jurors think he didn't do it.

Where the DreamTeam earned their money was in the choosing of that jury. They chose jurors who were more likely to accept the defense's argument that the evidence was tampered with.

I worked in a courtroom for a long time. I saw how too many cops play the game. In fact the judge I worked for routinely left the registration tag for her Mercedes in the glove compartment to see how often the blonde driviing the Mercedes was stopped for expired tags. Years of doing it, never stopped. But we saw case after case of petty criminal stuff coming in on a probable cause stop for expire tags. It turnsyou sour after a while. There are damned good cops too. I saw them. I was married to one.But there aren't enoughof them.

Years ago I knew a man who pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana because before the cops approached him, they approached his wife and mother of his children and handed her the box, which she took, thus putting her finger prints on it. Then the cops told him they would arrest her if he didn't admit it was his.

Sadly, it's not rare. Mark Forman was a dirty cop and a racist. He had no credibility. He sunk that case. OJ did it and Forman is a big reason OJ walked.

Keep in mind that the judge tells the jurors, "If you find that a witness has lied about one thing you are free to discount all of his testimony." That was a major contribution to what happened in the OJ trial. Forman's involvemet in the case provided those jurors with reasonable doubt.

172. betty, why the hell would men with police records (one of them on probation) fence stolen property to the same guy that they stole the stuff from as a scheme to make money? then, knowing that the property they were fencing was stolen, call the cops and bring heat down on themselves.

It doesn't make sense unless the sellers KNEW that the property was not stolen and that they had a legal right to sell it...then maybe it makes sense that they might set him up to make money from the media exposure. But then that scenario would negate any "set up" because it would mean that OJ knew it wasn't stolen from him, in which case OJ IS guilty of stealing it.
