If this guy can come back from the grave, Britney can certainly come back from this and this and this and this and this and this and this and ...
Does ANYONE that writes in to these blogs understand that ADDICTION is a true disease. It's NO ONE'S FAULT. There is NOT a very high success rate of people being cured, even when they TRY. AA has the highest success rate, and that's only 25 percent or maybe even less at this point in time.
MANY of us have a loved one who has been afflicted by this disease and had the horror that comes along with it in our lives, NOT BY CHOICE.
The user can go to GNC and get a tea or supplement that will allow them to pass any drug test. I know, I watched my own child do it for years. The couselors told me my child was only fooling himself. Big deal. It's a HORROR
I did not need all the counselors, lawyers, doctors, to tell me this was NOT my fault. I had nothing to be ashamed of. I FEARED for the life of my child who is now the same age as Brit. It 's a life long battle once you've become an alcoholic or drug addict, every day of their lives. Our child spent years in jail, we had him committed, arrested, to save his life, we've been enablers, we've tried the tough love. NOTHING helps other than by the grace of God and very very hard work by the user. I was so angry when the DOCTORS would tell me my child had no CHOICE in the matter. It's an illness, disease. Well how do some get cleaned up or never fall victim to the disease? I still have no answers other than it's no one's FAULT, it's not a CHOICE and only by the grace of God does someone recover, and live. There are millions of us in ALANON and NARANON because of how someone we love, their disease has affected OUR lives. YES those children are in for a world of pain, and they will also be predisposed to doing the same thing theirself.
I agree with you Anna, I too am a mother of two beautiful girls and if there was any chance they would be taken away from me because of my life style choices, whether it be drugs/alcohol or any other reasons, I would clean up my act immediately. She hasn't shown any improvement or changes in her slife to keep these kids. What is the court doing by letting the custody be 50/50 still? I guess they want these kids to be another statistic....poor littte boys, I really feel for them. The justice system in their state really sucks!
To the person who commented about Venezuela and the hospital system down there I suggest you educate yourself before you go and speak about something you don't know about. Being 100% Venezuelan having family still there that is one of the most ignorant remarks I think I have ever heard or read. Amazing that the young man survived...and anyone can come back from anything- that''s the beauty of life.
The Story of this guy can be seen on www.snopes.com I read about it yesterday it tells about his family seeing him afterwards. It's pretty freaky.
Keep making excuses #17. People get away with bad behavior because "it's a disease" poor thing. Brit should quit bar hopping and spend quality time with her kids. Why couldn't she take them for some of that ice cream she is stuffing her face with?
#17 Addiction is not a disease, it is a choice. A disease is cancer, diabetes, Lou Gerigs. She chooses to use drugs and alcohol. Give me a break, she is just another looser who does not accept responsiblity for her own actions. Until she can straighten her life up she should not be caring for 2 small children. She cannot even take care of herself how can she take care of her kids?
That's great! I love all this Britney news!! She is such a mess and I love it! I love watching her "comeback" show on MTV......oh I love it I love it I love it!!!
To #21 by what?????
Yes, addiction -IS- a disease. Its a chemical imbalance in the brain (well more than that, but thats the jist of it).
Now, I"m not defending Brit Twit, she NEEDS to get help, but she CHOOSES NOT to,
so, really it -IS- still her fault.
Anyone can recover, IF THEY WANT TO, she obviously doesn't.
But, addiction is chemicals messed up in the brain, try researching it.
#25 Sure the shrinks say it is a disease,BUT if you do not take drugs and alcohol (your CHOICE) then you will not have a "disease" people with real diseases did not take something that caused the disease. It is just another inabling phrase that lets people blame someone or something besides blaming themselves for the choices they make. Addiction is lack of self control. Which Britney exibits a lack of on a daily basis. She needs to get out of the spot light and night clubs and be a Mom, or decide she would rather not be a Mom and give the kids to Kevin, who seems to have problems of his own in the partying department. The family is a mess
27. #25 Sure the shrinks say it is a disease,BUT if you do not take drugs and alcohol (your CHOICE) then you will not have a "disease" people with real diseases did not take something that caused the disease.
I beg to differ... what about people with lung cancer who smoke? or better yet, people with diabetes cause of over sugar intake? or people with clogged arteries cause of too much mcdonalds? those are "real diseases", but yet they are still caused by outside factors.
Also, Even if you DO NOT take drugs or alchohol, you STILL have a chemical imbalance, you STILL have the disease, and that, is not, by choice.
Getting HELP is A CHOICE. I'm not defending Brit, she's still a stupid loser, and she does need to seek help, it -IS- her choice to use drugs and drink, i'm not denying that... but underlying that is a real disease.
Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
