33. Plus, aren't there many tricks to get a woman's room number? Like asking at the desk, saying you are her husband. Maybe by calling on phone or having an accomplice pose as woman when she['s out? Last time I checked room numbers aren't on keys; so it's easy to forget number and have to ask at the desk. And as long as you don't ask persons at the desk at check in....can't you get number,but not key?

34. That's awful! We've stayed at the Magic Castle twice in the past 3 years and had nothing but good experiences there. The staff was wonderful. I suppose anything can happen, but I have to think this is an inside job, not someone off the street. You have to walk through the small lobby right past the desk to get into the courtyard where the rooms are, and you'd need a passkey after 10 or 11, I think. I guess someone could come in thru the garage, maybe. Can't remember if those doors are locked at night, but I don't think so. Still I wonder if she had the door locked. Sounds fishy to me. I still would go back there and I hope I get to again someday. It's very affordable and close to Hollywood and Highland.

35. "almost" raped - first of all almost rape doesn't count! Second, you have to wonder what she did to deserve the almost rape. Was it one ofn them short skirts? And what happened, did he get a look at her and change his mind?

1. Because a woman where's "short skirts" does not mean she "deserved" an attempted rape or any other sexual assault. No woman deserves to be sexually assaulted whether they are wearing turtlenecks or bikini's. It's the rapist uncontrollable desires that need to be put in check.

2. And secondly, "attempted rape" does count because the intent was there. For whatever reason, he abandoned his original plan but how many women in the past (or in the future) have fallen victim.

37. Unfortunately rape of female hotel guests in is on the rise. A lot of times it is employees sicne they know females staying alone. You have to make sure you deadbolt your door, never announce you are staying alone to anyone, I even put a chair behind door after I deadbolt it and if your are a female staying alone dont stay on ground floor where someone could get in a window. A good hotel at night will have person who checks everyone for there room key before letting them on elevator or even in hotel doors. Magic Catsle is to be held somewhat accounatble for this incident I believe.
