Patti LaBelle Goes OFF on a Fan!

The young man was very close to LaBelle, when she jokingly told the Kansas City audience, "He was dancing too close to me!" The fan then said, "I think you wanted it more than I did!" The audience roars with laughter, but the look on Ms. LaBelle's face shows she's not amused!

Miss LaBelle went LaBallisitic!

She tells the frightened man, "I don't play that, okay? Do you know who I am?" and reminds the fan he's not at a Lil' Kim concert! Oooh, yes she did! She then snatches the microphone and kicks him off the stage!

The audience began to tell the miffed LaBelle that he didn't mean it, and Miss L quipped, "He didn't mean it? Just like Britney Spears didn't mean it the other night!" Patti proved that she can insult as she pleases, but no one better step to her! Daaaamn, diva!

95. He was joking, but she did not appreciate his sense of humor and thought it was disrespectful. Let's face it, young people have a different sense of what is funner than older people. At least she was nice enough to call him up on stage and make it all right.

96. patty labelle comes from another generation...this guy, kidding or not, was out of line...i think this fan thinks that all females EVER are like all the tramps of today ...that shows just how young and inexperienced he really is, on top of being arrogant...i prolly would'nt have gone wild on him in public like that, but woulda cleared up his confused azz in private soon afterward...this way tho, am sure it has left a lasting impression on his cocky self... jerk wanted a minute of infamy at the price of labelle...nothing really, that a good slap in his face wouldn't cure....joke or not.

97. Miss LaBelle was right. The fact that many of you are stating that she needs to get a sense of humor is what is wrong with us now. Respect is respect, nothing wrong with her saying what she said.

I know the young man didn't mean anything by it, BUT when you are dealing with a lady, that is not what you should say.

Kudos to Miss LaBelle and kudos to the young man.

Take note all you under 30 crowd.

99. Lelt me see if I got this right: She asks a young man to come on stage while she sings "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?

which means

"Would you like to go to bed (have sex) with me this night"

and then he makes a cute retort, "I think you want it more than me"
and then she jumps all over him about respecting her and being rude
so the moral of the story is even though she sings about getting laid,
you can't make a joke because its disrespectful ?!?!!

105. It is in bad form to turn against your public like that, even if they have "upset" you in front of your audience. I do not see what was so horrific about what he said, and she completely overreacted. There are ways of dealing with unexpected adversity on stage, and that, Miss LaBelle, was not one of them. And another thing: get over yourself. You're damn lucky to still have a follwing of any kind.
