PETA Presents: Celeb Skin!

Animal rights group PETA has gone and done the coolest thing since ... well, forever. Their latest spokeshottie for vegetarianism features a hot and totally naked Alicia Silverstone. But the "Clueless" star isn't the first sexbomb to bare it all for the cause.

Alicia's ad ruffled the feather's of meat industry honchos in Houston -- and the ad was banned there! So here it is, Houstonians, for those of you who missed it!

Now take a lingering fur-free look at some other celebs who've stripped in the name of our animal friends! Woof!

46. Alicia is doing something she feels strongly about. I don't eat much red meat, not for health reasons more that I don't see "meat" I see and animal. I eat fish though. Butchers HATE ME. Lauren Conrad's dad especially.

It's like if everyone became like me or Alicia they'd be out of business.

It's a personal choice. Hunters verses Gatherers. We CAN survive either way. Too many "butchers" have to much power in Houston and Congress, they are as bad as the Pharmaceutical Companies and Cereal Companies. All profit driven. They put money FIRST. Consumer Safety LAST.

I've always been a fan of Alicia and she seems like someone who made a choice in her life and is responsible about it. The only people that should not be Vege/vegan are LAZY people - cause you have to substitute amino building blocks with other food. That does take effort.

47. O.K everyone say "Arrrrr". Yes you will find we have teeth to be a herbivore and/or a carnivore. Granted some have vamp fangs but apart from those, evolution has proven this argument "in the mouth".

We can CHOOSE. The same could be said for WISDOM but no one seems to choose that option either.....

My Momma said YOU BETTER mess with Major Tom.

48. If this was how PETA had chosen to promote awareness to animal cruelty in the past instead of guerilla tactics the fur industry would not have made such a huge comeback. I love animals too but PETA was engaging in acts of terrorism long before terrorist became a household word, storming fashion shows, throwing red paint on people's fur coats, all of these fall under the heading of violence and vandalism. Terrorism is defined by forcing people to pay attention to your point of view by acts of coercion, intimidation and violence, all of which PETA is guilty of, therefore people stopped listening. If you create a mood of hostility and arrogance, you lose your target audience, they simply tune out and quite often become defiant. The fur industry owes PETA a huge vote of thanks for inadvertantly bringing people back to buying and wearing fur. Not to mention, some of their spokespeople are so bloodly ridiculous (no pun intended) and clearly passive-aggressive and obnoxious that no one actually hears the message. Nobody needs to buy fur to keep warm anymore but they sure don't appreciate being told what to do. The "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign is brilliant but the message is lost because PETA infuriates people.

50. FOR SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T EAT MEAT, YOU SURE FOLLOW THE VEGETARIANS LIKE A DUMB, BUT INCREDIBLY ARROGANT, SHEEP. BAA. BAA.

51. Why are people talking about fur??? Although this ad is done by PETA who are obviously anti-fur, this particular ad is about vegetarianism, not fur. And newsflash...you don't have to renounce everything that is animal to (including fur) to be a vegetarian. Some people are vegetarians for strictly health reasons, not because they care about the animals.

52. Vegetarians AREN'T Dumb and neither are sheep. Goats on the other hand.....

53. Arrogant is a person thinking they are above God. I don't and NEITHER DO SHEEP. Prerequisite of being a sheep. Greed makes you arrogant and that is the motivation of the meat industry. A vegetarian respects life and is HUMBLE enough to choose other options. I would LOVE to test my BP,chol, sugar levels, wisdom and IQ against a meat eater.

Why do all the wackos try and project their flaws onto the flawless?

54. PETA can go screw themselves.
Freaking hypocrite bastards.
Big deal with the nude shots. They just love hearing themselves mentioned all over the place. GOSH I can't freaking stand them! I don't wear fur, never will, but I'm not going to rag on someone who does so long as it's not from some endangered species!

55. I dont under stand PETA. Like when PETA thoughs paint on people for wearing fur. Those people probable just go and get a new fur coat. I think if you want to be a vegetarian it is your choose but to be mean to people that choose to eat meat. I dont get that.

56. The ad makes sense when you realize they are trying to bring attention
to an issue that people and the media want to ignore. The way animals
are treated in factory farms is sick and immoral. People resent being
told this so PETA wraps the message up in a package that few people
(men anyway) would find objectionable and people still resent it. If
you're interested in learning more about factory farming methods you
can go here: http://meat.org

57. I just ate an endagered Ivory-billed woodpecker egg whilst wearing my snow mobile jumper. Food just tastes better endangered and fully clothed. I love eating dead animals!

59. I don't get why so many people are anti-vegetarian. i mean, i completely understand being anti- PETA, but anti- vegetarian....is there really any justification for being anti- vegetarian or against the principles of vegetarianism?

I mean, what's wrong with NOT eating meat or wearing animal products? Not all vegetarians and vegans adhere to PETA. Nor do they all try to convert meat-eaters. So why is it that some people who have commented here are denouncing the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle as a whole?

I'm not trying to be all "Socratic" about that. I really just want to know why.

Oh, and also, could someone please explain why some people like to wear fur and don't have problems killing animals for jackets that cost more than cars? Again, I don't mean that in a sarcastic or judgemental way. I actually want to know why. Is it a symbol of power and wealth or something, because there are more humane ways of saying "I have money and I like to flaunt it."

60. I just love those that enter the blog to rant about people who enter the blog and comment which is the idea of being here. ( "Dont you know there is a war!" )
Somehow they must feel superior or at least that for the moment.
I cant think of anything more ignorant then someone assuming those that comment on the article's here only live within the TMZ box!

On subject- How many Peta members sit their ass's down on leather when they drive.
