DMX's Dogs: Buried Bodies Had Serious Wounds

DMXTwo dogs found buried at a home belonging to rapper DMX had serious wounds, authorities investigating neglect allegations said Saturday.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said one dog had serious bite wounds and another had trauma to its abdomen, but causes of death were not determined. A third dog was burned so badly an exam was inconclusive, reports the AP.

The investigation stems from an Aug. 24 raid of DMX's Phoenix home, when police were probing allegations of animal neglect. Police seized 12 live pit bulls, numerous weapons, and about a quarter-ounce of marijuana from the property.



"We have 12 dogs who were abused and three dogs buried in the yard," Arpaio said, "someone's going to have to pay."

DMX's lawyer, Murray Richman, said: "How do you attribute activities to a person who has not been there, when they have knowledge that other persons have been. Is it because of the celebrity nature?"

No charges have yet been filed against the 36-year-old rapper.

91. Anyone who does this sort of thing is truly sick. Who in their right mind could purposely torture, and hurt innocent animals. Any person who can do such a thing would have no remorse to doing the same to a human being if put into the right situation. I feel sorry for these people who can't get enjoyment from these animals by loving them. I love my dogs as if they were my babies, and hurt when they hurt. I would do anything for them. This world is getting sicker and sicker..

96. why weren't the 5 blacks who raped and killed the young white woman and her boyfriend a few months given wide spread coverage on the news? Or in the papers? It was reported that they cut off the young mans penis.They cut up the girl and placed her in 5 bags.Hidious crime. How many of you have heard of ithis before now?Am I worng that it wasnt given widespread coverage? If so , why not?

I am not speaking fo the group of whites who recently beat and tormented a black woman.That received alot of coverage recently and it should have., but so too should have the horrific crimes I mentioned above.

98. Know what, Shame? The real shame of it is that ANYONE abuses animals -- 'course most of the people who do are animals, themselves, and it doesn't make any difference what color they are.

However, that said -- if you're that concerned about the race card, you should evaluate what seems to have become the popular attitude of so many athletes and has-been athlete celebrities of color, and the ones who pass off their trash as rap music: the idea that being a hardass thug is something to aspire to. What ever happened to placing value on physical fitness and sound mind (instead of drugs), to making a positive contribution to society (instead of feeding the bottomfeeder attitude of everyone who thinks that illegal somehow means you're being prosecuted because of your color), and just generally being a respectable person (instead of a cursing, abusive, lying beast)?

It's wrong. Bottom line. And if you're white or if you're black, it's still wrong. And you should be punished. Period. Don't pull the schoolyard, "Well, he was doing it too" thing and expect us to feel sorry for your "boy." He's wrong and he knows it. He should do the time based on his own nasty, stupid actions.

102. Shame shame...you're just another ignorant person who shoots off his/her mouth and then gets all indignant because no "whitey" steps forward to fight with you. How about this? If you have an axe to grind, take it out in public, show your face, and become an activist for something worthwhile instead of hiding at home and constantly checking the message boards for a confrontation that you're too scared to get on the streets?

Make your efforts matter for something instead of hating whites because they're not black. Go to school...get an education...find some way to help other people with no intention of personal gain for yourself. You'll feel better.
