everyone else - get over it. yes, tmz should have a spanish site if they wish to post in spanish, or decide to post each post in multiple languages. but they didn't. whoopteedoo.

i am from texas and it is very annoying to me to come across people who live in this country (whether legally or otherwise) who do not speak english as it is our national language, but let's not be so ethnocentric. if you feel so strongly and wish to make a political statement, there are better forums than in the comments of a tmz post.

63. If you are offended by this article, I suggest you click the "Contact" button at the bottom of the page and email TMZ directly. Other people who view this site have their opinions and they won't be changed. I know mine won't be. I believe in Speak English. But others have their opinions. That's part of America, we are entitiled to make our opinions known. But if want want change, we need to contact the people who are putting this information out.

TMZ put this article up. We should all contact them directly. I have sent my email to them.

I have stopped going to a popular department store and have cut up my card there because the only announcements they have while you are in the store are in Spanish. What about the rest of us. It should be in English and Spanish, ETc. But they choose to just announce in Spanish. I am not going to learn to speak Spanish to shop at 1 store. But I have let my voice be heard.

You make me laugh, are you a wealthy woman? I mean, in the sense of having your lawn maintained, landscaping, housekeepers or traveling & staying in 4-5 star hotels & such.

69. um, narcissa (#32), i'm sorry to disappoint you here, but spanish WILL get you a lot further internationally than french or italian (you can forget italian, actually). i wish i could have taken spanish classes at school instead of the obligatory french.

but, actually, i really wish i had learnt mandarin, as that is IMO the language of the future at the global level (all you monolingual and proud americans will become third-rate global citizens, cut off from the future, if you aren't already...mwwaahaaahaaaaa!).

Creo que es por la mera ignorancia que se portan así. Los estadounidenses son ignorantes y no quieren aprender a otro idioma. Sólo quieren que el resto del mundo aprenda al inglés. ¡Qué lástima que no tengan la oportunidad conocer otra cultura y lenguaje!

De todos modos, TMZ, la calidad del español hubiera sido mejor. La falta de ortografía es pecado y deben tener vergüenza por eso, pero de nada más.

72. go, you're right about that! - due to the enormous population of Asian's in the the area, my god daughter's school here in Chicago makes that a major part of their curriculum and I was soooooo proud of her last week when we took her to a museum event and she totally WOWED the exhibitors with her Mandarin speaking & writing (she's 8) - they said the same thing to her that you just did.

73. This is ridiculous. Here we are wanting peace in our world, and all we get is a bunch of racist punks. For all of you who are so against Spanish speaking people (which I would most definately say is the dominant language in our world) go to the library and learn about ALL the different cultures that speak Spanish. The language does not only pertain to Mexicans. For all you racist men and women, how many times have you drooled over a beautiful Spanish woman or man?? 75. do all of you idiots REALLY think that this is an american site for americans? duh. as if at least half of the people visiting this site weren't from europe or somewhere else. it is a site which happens to be made in america, that's all. you gotta wake up in america and realise that the internet is accessed by the whole world where over 6000 different languages are spoken.

oh, and spanish isn't only spoken in mexico, guys. check out wikipedia - it's actually spoken in spain too! (you know, that's why it's called s p a n i s h) i doubt spanish people would appreciate americans calling them maids, landscapers or third-rate citizens. especially considering that spanish guys originally discovered america (after the native americans of course).
