18. Poster # 16
Thank you very much for those words.
racists have a keyboard to spew their ignorance and hate because they are a bunch of simpletons to understand and appreciate the genius Marceau was.You were born nothing ,are nothing and will die being NOBODY
Marcel Marceau will always be remembered.

19. I regret to say that I did not know that Mr. Marceau was still alive. His talents were incredible, his performances (which I saw several of) were perfectly timed, choregraphed and artistic. The likes of this fine man will be missed. Rest in peace dear comedic genius. You are in heaven now with some of the greats, Chaplin, Harpo Marx and Clarabell the Clown.

26. Like most people I know Marcel Marceau for his art. I didn't know he was Jewish - it's not really a big deal in this corner of Europe.

It is interesting to read about his wartime heroism, so thanks to those bloggers who have mentioned this - it got me to find out about that part of his life.

27. I've never heard of him before, but anyone who spends their entire life offering to entertain and offer distraction from our hurried, confused and at times depressing world, is okay in my book.

Rest In Peace Mr. Marceau. My condolences to your family and friends.

28. Poster no. 16 (one voice) - thanks for your honest and appropriate tribute. I had the honour of seeing Marcel Marceau in two wonderful performances in London and Tel-Aviv and he was the ultimate artist who inspired so many with his art. May he rest in peace.

29. I wonder if he died "quietly"? Still, he was good at what he did...

30. Before he was a mime,he was a hero.
Mock him if you want, but he saved the lives of French children by altering their ID's so the Nazi's would think them too young to deport.
How many children have you mocking smart asses saved?
And even if mime work seems lame, he still had impacts on other pop culture, Micheal Jackson's moonwalk was created by Marceau.(ok, it's silly now but in 1984, it was considered impressive and unique.)
I get that this is TMZ, but with so much mockworthy buttmunchery available daily, can't you people just skip this one story and take your venom elsewhere?

Rest Well Marcel Marceau
