Adrianne Curry: Another Fine Mess

Usually, when Adrianne Curry blogs, it just makes her look like a crazy woman. Maybe it's just showing her in true form, but her latest dispatch makes her look a little like Strom Thurmond with fake boobs. America's Next Top Race-Baiter!

The first "America's Next Top Model" initially wrote on her MySpace blog that she's boycotting Black History Month and the BET network, and that while the history of slavery of African-Americans "does suck some major balls," she's imploring them to "move the f**k on."

Now, after some serious backlash, the empty-headed model takes another stab at blogging in order to clarify her ridiculous rant, explaining that she feels "horrible that people misunderstood" her message. Perhaps this girl should think before she blogs!

The annoying Adrianne writes, "I am appalled that anyone would claim I am just some stupid white b**ch that doesn't know s**t about anything." How could anyone think such a thing?! Unfortunately, there's more! She says that she comes from an "incredibly political family." Sure. All this worldly philosophy coming from someone who dropped out of high school in her junior year. Stay in school kids!

46. I don't know what she said. I am all for equal rights, I think slavery is wrong...however. I don't appreciate the fact that Blacks have on freedom that Whites don't...embracing and celebrating our race. It is politically incorrect to be proud that you are a white person, even as we become a minority.

48. I totally agree with Adrianne Curry!! She has a voice that should and needs to be heard!!! It's funny that everyone seems to be saying how wrong she is!?! Is it right to say that most might be African American? I mean what would happen if the White people tried to have a White history month?? Does anyone else think that won't go over that well with the Black community?
Might I just add my own two cents...I have always find it funny that we call Blacks African Americans, we call don't call White people White Americans!??! We don't call White people by the place they were born, but yet we still call Blacks African Americans even though they might have been born in the USA come one people stick to the basics Black is Black, White is White! I am soo far from racist I have a cousin who is mixed and we have talked about this before and he AGREES with me! And well what about the White people that have been born in Africa? I guess we should call Charlize Theron an African American since she was there right!?
think about that little diddy before you blast me here cause when you do actually think about this it makes sense...
just some candy for the brains people....

53. Why is it okay for Black people to be proud of being Black and to celebrate it publicly??? A White person can't be proud to be White w/out being called a racist.

55. Wait a sec, the north wanted to end slavery and THAT'S why the south seceded?

Au contraire. Slavery, while vile and heinous and a black mark on all of human history, was not the impetus for the U.S. Civil War.

Sadly, Lincoln used slavery as a political tool to pull in supporters of the abolitionist movement. Goodness, he didn't even issue the Emancipation Proclamation until 1863, more than TWO years after the first official shots were fired at Fort Sumter.

More accurately, the war was a long time coming, stemming from major political strife dating from the controversy of the Articles of Confederation vs. the Constitution. Some politicos in the late 18th century advocated a loose confederation of states, in which each state was largely autonomous, while federalists advocated for a strong federal government. Pair this with two very divergent economic systems - largely industrialized in the northeast, and predominantly agrarian in the southern U.S., and you've got a recipe for bloodshed...

...which is exactly what happened.

Please don't misunderstand me - I'm not trying to remotely defend Ms. Curry and her ignorance. She's clearly uneducated and happy to be perfectly unaware of the world around her.

But to boil the civil war down to slavery is inaccurate at best, and an easy political tool at worst. So let's celebrate all of the cultures that make this country what it is, both good and bad.

And hell, men get "Spike" and women get "WE," "Oxygen" and the 18-million "Lifetime" channels, so what's wrong with "BET"? Or "Telemundo"? ;)

59. Well she is right about BET. Imagine a WTV? nope. and before anyone tells me every channel is WTV you should watch more TV.

I hate the fact that there is the Black entertainment awards, Latino awards etc. Its disgusting and racist. She way have aproached it wrong but im sorry, she is right.
