Date Finally Set for Daniel Smith Death Inquest

A date has finally been set in the Bahamian inquest on the death of Daniel Smith, Anna Nicole's son.

The inquest, which will begin October 30, will feature testimony from at least 35 witnesses, including Howard K. Stern.

Daniel, 20, died last September in Nassau, just three days after his mother gave birth to his half-sister, Dannielynn.

A private autopsy conducted by famed coroner Dr. Cyril Wecht found a multitude of drugs in Daniel's bloodstream, including methadone and anti-depressants.

The official inquest into Daniel's death has been repeatedly postponed.

79. Remember people this is an inquest not a murder trial so lets hope that Howard wont keep stalling if he loved Daniel as he claimed lets hope he does right and let the inquest take place.

80. It's about time they rescheduled it. This should have been resolved long ago, and it's a shame that it hasn't been. Determine the manner of the young man's death; if anyone acted criminally then punish them, but if no one acted criminally, clear those who have been suspected.

I for one, am JUBILANT that the date for the Inquest has been confirmed as set for Oct. 30th !!!!!!!! Just PRAYERS now that truth will come out and justice will be done.

82. A special thank you to all of you who have relentlessly pushed for this inquest to take place. Believe it or not you have made a difference. The support of those who believed in justice for Daniel has at last paid off. Many of you have repeatedly emailed various branches of the government and authorities of the Bahamas. Many of you have pressed media outlets to keep this tragic story in the spotlight and many of you have given Daniel a voice that would have otherwise gone unheard. Although I am silenced at the present time, myself and others who hold Daniel close to their hearts extend our deepest gratitude to all of you who refuse to give up the fight. You have made me believe that guardian angels on earth do exist. We hope that the long overdue inquest scheduled for October 30th will not be the end of the much needed justice for Daniel, but merely the beginning. There is a long road ahead. Please continue to keep Daniel in your prayers. God Bless all of you!!

84. All Americans are innocent until proven guilty beyound reasonable doubt in a court of law. This is our God given rights. If you take this right from another and do not protect this right. You may be the nex to have this right taken from you. IMO

86. The Truth will set you Free. Lets hope the truth will come out, and the inquest doesn't turn into a joke. I'm afraid stories will come out to make poor Daniel look like a druggy, and he's not hear to defend himself.
