Ann Coulter -- Where's My Fatwa?!

Conservative flamethrower Ann Coulter is beggin' for it -- a fatwa, that is.

The blonde bombdropper is whining that she can't get a death sentence hung over her head, like author Salman Rushdie did by offending Ayatollah Khomeini with his book, "The Satanic Verses."

"I want a fatwa," Annie tells British Esquire. "I used to see Salman Rushdie in the Sky Bar in L.A. He wasn't in hiding; he became world-renowned for his fatwa. So why can't I get a fatwa? Don't they read my stuff?"

Probably not, but luckily for Coulter, wackjob Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad is tooling around the East Coast, in case she hadn't heard. Or, perhaps Ann could just go to Iran and make herself available!

121. Someone put this hateful woman out of her misery--give her a fatwa, if that's what she wants-and ship her to the Middle East!

122. 121. For Democrats are evil #29...It's always interesting to me that people like you call democrats every name in the book. My Focus on the Family neighbor recently called me a communist because I'm a democrat. This loving wonderful christian woman who does nothing but spew hate. Both of my parents were in the military. My mom was in the Pacific theater as an army nurse in world war 2. My dad was int he Normandy Invasion in the European theater during world war 2. My husband is retired military. I have had the wonderful privilege of living all over the world because of my dad's 32 year military career. We live in the best country ever. It's not perfect but having lived in other places where freedoms don't exist like here we are very blessed.

I volunteer my time working with abused children. It fascinates me that many republicans say they are pro family and pro life. But you only support the pre born. The post born are forgotten about. The programs that have been cut by this admisnistration for kids is obscene--programs that help keep families together.

123. Thanks Lenn for the response. I'm not writing about programs that "enslave' people as you stated. I'm writing about programs that help parents learn to be better parents to their children and not abuse them. Programs that work with families to keep them together.

On the issue of woman's choice I have found in much dialogue and working politically on the subject that many people who do not support a woman's right to choose abortion also do not support birth control period. It's more an issue of control than caring for the preborn.

On the issue of name calling how interesting that you would say it is a liberal phenomenan. I think there are good and bad people on both sides of the spectrum. Ann Coulter well represents the conversative side of that negativity. I have worked on political campaigns in my community over the last 20 years...some I've campaign managed. All have been successful only because I have always insisted that the campaign be run in a positive way. It has always been the other side that spewed the negativity and lies. Why we always won is because I told my candidate to stick to the issues and not get in the mud with the opposition.

125. I wish she/he had a fatwa!! This tiresome c**t should go away, far, far away. She/he is one of the main reasons the far right/wrong is losing ground, THANK GOD! Where is Kavorkian when we need him?

126. I think Ann needs to get laid. Think about it. When do we EVER see her with a man? I mean come on, we all know that Republicans are always STRAIGHT right? So most naturally I assume she needs a man. Badly.

Maybe she wouldn't be such a sick up my ass gal all the time. Hey wait a minute, I guess this would be punishment for some innocent man even if he was a Republican. She isn't what you call a "looker". Not to mention she probaly NEVER shuts up.

131. You people are looking at things all wrong. This isn't about Dems, Reps, liberals, conservatives, etc

Any politician no matter what their party affiliations consist of, are as crooked as a barrel of fishhooks. They only want to hear from you when they want a vote for re-election or another dollar. They make laws that only apply to us. They bury us into debt and then come back wanting more. They are smart , they know Americans couldn't agree on one simple thing if their lives depended on it.

So, while all of you are fighting and scratching over political ideologies, they have stolen the vote and the buck. They are counting on all of you to not agree and from what I see posted, I think I hit the nail on the head. It is not about Ann, the Rev, O'Reilly or any other political spin doctor.

It boils down to once and for all to drop the name calling and do something other than bitching. We need honest people representing us, where do we find these people? Beats me, if a honest person were to run for office they would probably be corrupted in no time flat by all the bad association.

We need to start listening to reason and not to this person or that with things that tickle our ears. Everyone in America is entitled to an opinion and yes that includes Ann, and others who beat their chest loud and clear looking for an audience. I think of it as the barkers at the carnival. Each trying to draw in the weak and the bewildered to step right up and see the lying politician during election time. I'm a libertarian in my thinking by the way, and we don't trust what politicians or the media say. As they have corrupted our country and twisted our constitution for their personal gain folks, not for us the lowly tax paying serfs.

We have become disconnected from each other, bickering over things that don't change a thing and only leave hard feelings between us. Change comes from action. When election time comes hold your precious vote and don't just pitch it away thoughtlessly. Withhold what they want from you until you get what you want. That is, a representative that listens to its constituents. If they fail to follow through on their promises, remember it and then the next time correct your mistake. I for one would love to see tar and feathering make a comeback. LOL

So let the media personalities like Ann, Rush and the lot exercise their free speech as they should be able to do, but do not allow it to pull you this way or that. You all know the right thing to do and yes sooner or later you will have to stick together and put your differences aside and fix the problems here in this country. As we all know it is in dire repair. If not, then we will meet the same fate as Rome.
