Courtney Love in British Horror Cinema

I love her dress.

Well she looks messed up.She is a very loving women If she would clean up and be like she should be love you lots

you're absolutely right, butcherbaby (tho your name is sort of creepy like Courtney). Courtney Love is no role model, for sure, but then again neither are the wrinkly, leathery faces of former or perhaps not so former addicts like Iggy Pop, Keith Richards, Steven Tyler, and now Anthony Kiedis. Why don't these guys ever get called crack whores? If we're going to pick on ugly, emaciated rock star drug addicts, remove at least part of the pressure off of Courtney and spread it evenly between both sexes.

Then again, until she releases an album of decent music and puts in her time crisscrossing the globe on tour, she doesn't even have the rock star excuse going for her. Maybe, just maybe, people would be more forgiving towards her if she were still putting out albums of the Live Through This calibre. (And please, no "Kurt wrote that whole album" reponses here....he likely did contribute some of those key riffs that made it so great, but the lyrics, vocal performance, and overall production cannot all be given to Kurt. To say that is to dismiss not only Courtney's vocals and lyrics, but also the talent of Eric Erlandson, Kristen Pfaff, and Patty Schmel.)

let's not forget they also chose the photo where her eyes were most likely half closed from the flash just like happens to all of us. if they really want to make a point and substantiate it, let's see TMZ show us a series of four or five photos taken in a row of her on the nod, rather than opening our mouths to be spoon fed easily digestible generalizations about Courtney that fit the one-dimensional paradigm we've had drilled into our heads about her.

I'm not defending Courtney Love so much as wondering why everyone instantaneously starts writing "stoned whore," without questioning the images we're presented with. Whether it's her or someone else it just seems weird that the pubic thinks celebrities are any less complex than other human beings.

The paps took a bad shot when she was blinking. Big deal. Those cameras take many many pictures per second. Of course, they are going to get a shot with her eyes half closed. I've seen other pictures from this exact same night and she looked gorgeous. TMZ will fabricate anything to diss on Courtney some more. Typical.
