It reminds me of those companies you phone up when your computer isn't working and they don't have a clue, don't listen and just keep repeating themselves.

"is everything is plugged in?" yes
"have you tried restarting it?" YES

"okay I want you to check once again that everything is plugged in, then restart it"

This is ridiculous. I have heard MANY 911 calls and most of the dispachers are rude and incompetent. It's time they sorted it out. You could call a centre in Canada and the ambulance would probably get there around the same time.

Oh my gosh! what the hell country is that 911 operator from?? a 911 call that takes more than 4 minutes just to firgure out what someone who is clearly speaking english to someone who clearly does not understand the language and go back to his own country where emergenct response is NO EMERGENCY!

43. I listened to it twice and I think whoever trains these 911 Operators needs to be let go. There needs to be an IQ test before they hire people to work in an important position like this and they shouldn't use expressions like "I need a numerical". Instead, how about, "I need a street address" like normal people speak. Thank God she wasn't really badly hurt because the operator took his time. Yikes!

44. Sounds like that call was routed to ANOTHER COUNTRY!!! Have you ever tried to call to get help when you have a problem with you computer, like Hewlett Packard? Or Linksys?? Your call gets routed to someone who is in a foreign country on the phone. You don't actually speak to a support center in the United States!

Probably the same thing with this 911 call. It's cheaper to pay people in a foreign country to answer the phone. This operator spoke with VERY BROKEN ENGLISH. I bet this man who called was actually speaking to someone in the Phillipines or something.

45. That sounded so put on... and yes if that was real that dispatcher needs to find other work, like stuffing tonka toys into bags!!! I never heard anything like that, most of the time it is the people calling in all excited and dumfounded, that time it was the dispatcher. Could he be anymore confusing and stupid! Hopefully he is just a phone boy because if he dispatches calls I would get really irritable listening to him all day!
