Kiefer: Once, Twice, Three, Four Times a Busted!

"24" star Kiefer Sutherland's DUI arrest last night isn't his first brush with the law. Or his second. Or even his third.

Kiefer plead guilty in 1989 and 1993 to reckless driving charges, and in 2004 to driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 -- the legal limit in California. It's the 2004 case for which Sutherland is currently on probation.

But things could have been a lot worse for Kiefer. The 1989 case had two gun charges tacked on -- carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place -- both of which were dismissed. The 1989 and 1993 cases both had DUI charges as well, and both were dismissed.

Kiefer got three years probation for both of those cases, the second of which fell just after the probation was up for the first. Time was on his side in that one.

17. DRUNK OR SOBER, KEIFER COULD OUT ACT ANYBODY ELSE IN HOLLYWOOD. 24 IS THE BEST ON TV. NOBODY COULD EVER REPLACE HIM ON 24.

18. What do if I care if people drink and drive. It is not that big of a deal. I'd prefer they stop texting and talking on the phone while driving.

21. The hole gets deeper & deeper until you decide for yourself to drop the shovel. You determine your own bottom or outside forces will do it for you.

The alternative is jail, institutions or an early death. Hopefully you can find your way out of the squirrel cage & quit repeating the insanity over & over again. Their is a way out , it is about being honest with yourself. To thine own self be true & the rest will take care of it self...

What do you have to lose beside your addiction by following these suggested steps?

THE TWELVE STEPS
OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol — that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

24. Kiefer Sutherland is too cheap to get a driver \ bodyguard. Have to kill somebody first ?
Judge Michael Sauer should be removed from the bench. Hilton gets jail on lesser charges while Sutherland ride's the roads drunk. All of Judge Michael Sauer cases need to be reviewed by higher courts. He should be removed...

28. Three DUI's? Hell, you can't even be NOMINATED for the Order of Canada unless you've racked up at least two, right Keifer?

30. Mr. Sutherland - just one woman's opinion: Dumb mistake - suck it up - plead guilty off the hop (if indeed you are guilty) - take your lumps- learn from your mistakes - and move on.
