141. Anyone, I repeat, anyone who commits a cruel act against a human being or an animal should first get a psychological evaluation, and depending on the intent, serve time. There is no excuse for what Mike Vick did. His despicable actions were all for the joy of watching animals rip each other apart and for money. You would have to be a sick person yourself to defend such a person. Just remember his intentions. He knew what he was doing. He intended to harm another being and thoroughly enjoyed watcing it. That is the problem. People like him need to be put away for a long, long, long, long time. I don't know if counseling for someone who is that far gone will do any good.

142. By the way, one can care about the humane treatment of animals and people at the same time. Plenty of people who care about treatment of animals also care about the treament of human beings. It appears to me that many people who complain about "animal-lovers", they themselves do not do much to help the causes of human beings! I'm sorry, but I see far too many "animal haters" who are quite selfish, ignorant, lazy, greedy, mean, nasty, embittered human beings. Really, I have. I do many, many good things for both humans and animals. Even when I do good things for human beings, other haters will complain. They will say things like "Stick to your own race", "Worry about the people in the U.S. first" , etc., etc. This is true. All of you supposed "human lovers", ask yourselves, "What good things have I done to make another's life better?" "Do I talk behind my best friend's back?" "Have I cheated on my spouse/significant other?" Please, you so-called "human'lovers", practice what you preach!

143. For those people who are so concerned about the Black race: Please stop defending the manipulators, perpetrators, and victimizers BECAUSE of their race. Like my grandpa used to say, "A jackass in a tuxedo is still a jackass."

If you are so concerend about your race, please help the people in Darfur who are being tortured, raped, mutilated, and beaten by their own race of people. Please, instead of focusing on race, why aren't we all focusing on making our communities better for us and for our children, and their chidlren? When will this hatred stop? You have to be the one to make it stop. Perpetrators in our society need to be the enemies, not decdent people who just want good jobs and who want to put food on the table for their families. Wake up! Everybody! Wake UP!!

144. Wow! Can people really be this ignorant and callous? Mike Vick did a horrible thing. Cruelty toward a human or an animal has no place in a civilized society. We all have a responsibility to prevent cruelty to humans and animals. It's just not okay to be wantonly cruel to another being.

I hope that you are practicing what you are preaching. Instead of being upset about people being sooo overly concerned about animals, please take the time to be as concerned about human beings. I sincerely hope that you spend your time, money, and other resources helping the downtrodden of the human race and also are encouraging other humans to do the same. Don't get upset at the people who simply are tired of despicable human beings who find pleasure in being cruel to another human or animal. Simply do good things for humans, like volunteering at a soup kitchen, helping the victims of Hurrican Katrina, visitng our Vets at the V.A. Hospital, writing letters and sending donations to SaveDarfur, sending in donations to other organizations like the Lions Club, American Cancer Society, etc. Let's just hope that you are truly doing what you can for humans before you blast those who simply do not believe that it is okay for an animal to get torn to shreds for sheer pleasure-- exactly what MIKE VICK did.

Why don't you complain about all the media coverage these sports teams and celebrities get? It seems that it is the end of the world when some team doesn't make it into the playoffs. Are you this upset when the Bulls, Bears, Vikings, etc. win or lose? How about when a celebrity breaks a nail? Do YOU write/call/complain to the media then? What Mike VIck did was SCARY and DESPICABLE. Perhaps you really do not know what happens to animals before, during, or after a dogfight. This isn't about two dogs scratching each other and rolling around until one of them gets tired. I suggest you visit www.HSUS.org to learn about dogfighting. And just for your information, when humans commit cruel acts against anials, rarely does it stop there...
