Can you name the last white kid to get sentenced for attempted murder for a school yard fight? I didn't think so. And you say white people don't support a rapist? How then do you explain the standing ovation given to Roman Polansky a few years ago at the mostly WHITE Oscars? Not only did he get a standing ovation but an award as well. This is not a race issue. This is about an idiot who got caught breaking the law and is paying the price. Don't turn it into a race thing.

123. betty johnson.......you appear by your comments, to be a very nasty person.......it is attitudes like yours that perpetuate racism...I do not know your level of education........but according to your judgement of another commentator's education.....I would say, level of education aside..You exhibit poor reasoning , and intellectual capacity.so much for education................You exhibit extreme bias& narrow mindedness.........Michael Vick has been charged with, & has admitted to serious felony charges..................of which dog fighting is only ONE....................his plea deal will greatly decrease the punishment that he really deserves..........................M. 124. Can we please get off the race thing for Vick. White folks do go to jail for this stuff, but they're just not famous - check the ASPCA or the Humaine Society sites on info about what goes down.

A man this cowardly doesn't deserve to be defended in the name of racism. Racism is a serious issue and it sickens me that it is used to defend a man who did BAD THINGS. This man should not be able to hide behind race to get away with what he did. He should not be allowed to pull out the race card when it suits his needs.

Mike Vick thought he could get away with it because he's rich & famous - the authorities had been investigating for quite some time before he finally got busted. He had plenty of time to shut down his operation and clean house, but he thumbed his nose at the law.

FYI #106 (Who let the dogs out), Michael Vick isn't going to prison for abusing dogs! His main charges are for running an illegal business. So the law is not protecting dogs,it is protecting $$. THAT should be your argument.

Please tell me the different between hunter who shot at innocent deer or duck. These animal can't defense themselves either. What Vick was stupid and wrong, and I am sure he will be punished. I am sick of people who wish Vick be put in jail for life. Don't you think this is way to hash? America justice is a joke. Look at Paris Hilton, Nichole Richie, Jenna 6, and you tell me that put Vick prison for life for killing dog is justice. He should get about 3 years or less for his crime.
