Goldberg to Paps: Can I Get a Witness?

Celebrities may have a combative relationship with the paparazzi most of the time, but on occasion they can come in handy. Just ask the buff and tatted Adam Goldberg.

The sometimes "Entourage" guest star was shopping in Hollywood when he returned to his ride and found a parking ticket. Baffled, Adam went to investigate.

"There was 22 minutes in the meter," he explained as he walked over to check it out. He then turned to the photog, "I want documentation of this."

Sure enough, the meter read "00:07" -- seven minutes still left! Adam joked to the photog, "I'm actually going to go to court and contest this and then what I am going to do, call you now?"

Sure enough, Adam took the pap's card and might even call on him to testify! Sometimes it helps to have people documenting your every move.

31. The ticket was for "meter expiration." You can hear him say that when he was reading the ticket just before he asked the photog to shoot the meter. Doesn't surprise me that there was still some time on the meter when the ticket was written. A lot of cities have a parking ticket quota and meter maids are evaluated on the ability to write between 90 and 100 percent of the daily/weekly/monthly number of tickets that are normally written on the streets and zones they patrol and they are often rotated from zone to zone to establish comparisons. Parking enforcement department managers have records of that data to evaluate meter maids but they don't call it a quota. They call it a goal. But when meter maids are frequently short of the goal they get retrained. And then if they are still frequently short of the goal they get fired. That's a quota!

I think people would be surprised, if they was able to discover, how many of the parking tickets they got was actually written while there was still a little time remaining on the meter.

34. way to go TMZ! for being in the right spot at the right time! He should sue, did u guys get the cop on film giving him the ticket? that would be cool too! I love positive stories like this! With so much "drama" in LA we see way too much negative things. Thanks for a nice story for a change!
