Jenny to Fan: You're a BS Artist

Don't BS Jenny McCarthy -- she can smell it from a mile away.

The former Playmate was truckin' through JFK airport yesterday, when a self-proclaimed "huge fan" begged for a photo with the foxy female. But Jenny saw right through the rubbish and called him out on it, asking, "What's the name of the book I just put out?"

Dude answered with, "Uhhhh," which, as any real Jenny fan knows, is not the correct title. It's actually called "Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism."

She's blond, but she's not stupid.

16. Kosair Childrens Hospital in Louisville KY is experimenting with a new treatment that is making huge improvements in the lives of autistic children. It is only in the experimental stages, but is looking very promising. There was a segment on last night's local news about it.

17. It goes to prove that if you flaunt yourself all over the place in Playboy etc., you won't be taken seriously as an "author" or expert in anything.

What man on this Earth sees her as an author and not someone who posed in Playboy?

18. Jenny McCarthy has a nice second career as an author of books for housewives. However, I'm sure most men know her from her days of being a nude Playmate ( and later a semi-clothed tease).

I doubt most guys know the title of her latest book. Personally I am AWARE of her books, but I don't know all the titles.

She's not famous for her writing. She's been given the opportunity to write because she's famous.

20. I agree, but if someone was a HUGE fan, they would have known the name of the book! HUGE fans follow this information.

21. Oooh, now she's an AUTHOR! I guess the BIMBO/ACTRESS thing wasn't working. That's pretty snotty of her to blow off someone who probably is a huge fan, of her Playboy pics and MTV gigs. Do all her fans now have to have college degrees and read her preachy book? Jenny, dear, don't bite the hand that has fed you. Oh, yeah, she eats at Jim Carrey's table now!

22. Okay, lets just come to our senses. In order to be a HUGE fan of Jenny McCarthey you need to know what the title of her autism book is?!?

Lest we forget that this is a person whose entire career is based on being naked, being hot, .... or being hot and naked. I doubt most guys that dig "hot, naked" Jenny give a hair about "Take Me and My Autism Book Seriously" Jenny. They certainly would not be watching her on Oprah.

Maybe Ms. McCarthy needs to get over herself and take the picture. Who is she supposed to be anyway?

23. Some of you are the biggest hypocrites. If Jenny were to still be getting naked and acting like a Bimbo, as some of you have accused her of, you would be criticising her for that. She had a kid. She grew up. That is what is SUPPOSED to happen only it doesn't happen very often in Hollyweird. She is using her celebrity in a positive way and making people aware of autism. Also if you didn't know she is donating proceeds from the book sales to autistic foundations. Don't put her down for moving on in her life.

24. #14 Help Autistic Kids:

Thanks for the information and where to find it. I don't usually put any thought into "alternative" treatments unless it is based on solid research or a reasonably sound physiology, with no possibility of adverse side affects. Thus far with Autism, I have heard of nothing to peak my interest, except for this future study. I'll be keeping up with this research with keen interest. Again, thank you.

When I first went to Jenny's website about Autism and read something to the effect that she feels her son is 'a blue bubble boy' (?), something weird and out there. I just left the site and put her in the catagory of whack job mom.

25. #20 She has recently, withing the past 6 months, been pictured in a Playboy bunny costume. That doesn't scream "moving on" to me.

26. She's had a privileged life. And I'm sure she will claim she "worked hard" to get where she is. Right. Worked hard at being born?..with beauty. Now she's mother of the year because she loves her son who isnt perfect?

27. It was probably one of those whackos like Kev or an AutismDiva wanna be that was setting her up.

My son is recovering too Jen.

You go girl.

28. I think I like Jenny but her over inflated ego lately is getting on my nerves. It's obvious that snaring a mega rich man like Jim Carrey has done masses for her confidence. Now she fancies hereself as an authority on a wide range of things, weighloss to autism to name but a few. I used to watch her on The Big Breakfast (a show on Channel 4 in Britain) when she filled in years ago, she was fun and game for anything. Nowadays, she has a "purpose in life". To bring light into the lives of mothers etc, as sprouted by her on The View yesterday. All well and good, but self praise is no honour as my mother always used to say. Keep the self platitudes to yourself Jenny, let others say how amazing you are - if they feel the need to?!

29. #22 Autism

You appear to be misinformed on the research that is out there. I would suggest reading Dr Bryan Jepson's book "Chaning the Course of Autism." It is filled with peer-reviewed research supporting our kid's compromised immune systems and gut issues. It's fully annotated, so it shouldn't be hard for you to read the actual research papers themselves.

Also, there is no such thing as a medical intervention with no possibility of side effects (just read your tylenol bottle). Please, be educated.

30. #24...actually the mothers have to become autism experts because the so-called experts out there don't know half of it. When we received the diagnosis for our daughter I did the same as Jenny. I would stay up all night goggling anything and everything about Autism. I would sit in the libraries for hours and read. I bought every book recommended and called every specialist I was told about. Unfortunately if you don't know the questions to ask the medical providers, they will not ask you. You have to prompt them for treatment, you have to prompt them to research more. Right now it is the parents that are financially backing pretty much all the autsim research. So yes, we mothers are experts. I don't know about her other books as I never had an interest in them, but as far as the autism book goes she is pretty much dead on in everything she writes. And for the record, not once does she mention Jim Carrey by name in the book. She only refers to him as a nice guy she met. I hope both she & Holly Robinson Peete continue their media tour and keep the word Autism out there.
