Roy Scheider: Smile, You SOB

The man responsible for killing "Jaws," Roy Scheider, was outside of Mr. Chow yesterday when a fan asked him to sign a photo of himself with Roy -- from 1980!


The fan, a serial celebrity snapshooter name Yehya -- also seen hounding Cuba Gooding, Jr. earlier in the day -- presented Scheider with the nearly 30-year-old photo of the twosome taken in Cannes.

While Roy's signin' the shot, Yehya gets a little too up close and personal -- asking Roy if he's sold his house here in Los Angeles. If Roy hasn't, he may want to!

1. Are you kidding me? You're trashing someone for getting too up close and personal? Isn't that what your photographers do every day? Invade celebrities personal lives and get up close and personal to get the scoop? Yea thought so.

2. I have had a crush on Roy Scheider for years! Always seems so classy, intelligent and a killer sense of humor. Love him. May go rent "All That Jazz" again....

3. I agree, PJ! This video is a testament to how a genuinely classy celebrity behaves in public, much less in the presence of fans. And Roy Scheider is extraordinarily talented to boot. Imagine that: a Hollywood actor who possesses both talent AND class in spades. A rarity in Hollywood these days.

4. It didn't look to me that Roy was uncomfortable in any way - he seemed to enjoy the little 'trip into the past' the photographs provided and he had a big smile on his face as he shook Yeyha's hand. Didn't seem invasive in any way.
