The judge in the Phil Spector murder trial has declared a mistrial, as jurors announced they were hopelessly deadlocked.
In the courtroom today, the jury foreperson told the judge that they were deadlocked 10 - 2 -- with 10 jurors voting for a guilty verdict.
Prosecutors charged Spector with the murder of actress Lana Clarkson nearly five years ago. Spector's attorneys had argued Clarkson committed suicide.
A spokeswoman for the District Attorney told the LA Times "We will try Phil Spector again" and said her office was disappointed with the outcome of the trial
All parties will be back in court on October 3rd.

Mistrial declared on MURDER charges.
He was found GUILTY of wearing an extremely bad wig and was sentenced to 10-years in prison...
i can,t beleive it he did it sure the girl goes to his house and says to herself i think i will KILL myself today what is wrong with those people

I can't believe this ugly murdering piece of crap got off. I bet someone of the jurors was paid off.
This is just as bad as Robert Blake getting away with murder. If the victim is considered unsavory, oh well.

Another star struck group of L.A. jurors! They don't have a brain amongst them. If anyone believes she went to his castle to kill herself they must be crazy! Hopefully the DA will try the case again..perhaps this time as first degree manslaughter.
