The judge in the Phil Spector murder trial has declared a mistrial, as jurors announced they were hopelessly deadlocked.
In the courtroom today, the jury foreperson told the judge that they were deadlocked 10 - 2 -- with 10 jurors voting for a guilty verdict.
Prosecutors charged Spector with the murder of actress Lana Clarkson nearly five years ago. Spector's attorneys had argued Clarkson committed suicide.
A spokeswoman for the District Attorney told the LA Times "We will try Phil Spector again" and said her office was disappointed with the outcome of the trial
All parties will be back in court on October 3rd.

The despicable character and his attorneys-to-the-wealthy must be feeling puffed up about knowing he killed Lana Clarkson and got off due to TWO JURORS who are, most likely, involved in the entertainment industry! We need to reinstate the mental institutions of the State of California for people like Phil Spector!
After seeing one of the most impressive judges, Larry Paul Fidler, and District Attorneys, Alan Jackson, in the State of California, endure five years of defense delays and the enduring and ridiculous FIVE MONTHS of trial, it hurts as a woman to see this freak going scot free!
Although I can see government dollars used more wisely, I hope Alan Jackson now goes for an expedient (retrial) as a message has been sent to the power hungry men in the entertainment industry that they can get away with abuse and even murder of young women in the industry.
If his young biotch wife posted that information on her Myspace site, I hope she is brought to trial and serves jail time providing her husband doesn't go crazy and do her in first as he did Lana Clarkson!
I'll never look at Linda Kinney-Baden nor Dr. Henry Lee in the same light, again. This trial and the Anna Nicole Smith saga have brought home the GREED of attorneys and science folks who jump into cases such as those to the wealthy here in the United States.
So amazing, it is so disgusting how these "celebs" get off so damn easy. As a few of you have said only in America~~~ However on the flip side of that I'm super proud to be an American. He is trying to look so confused. Well it worked huh!!!
The court system really needs to ditch the current system of jury selection and start hiring professional jurors. Maybe serving for one or two years so as to put intelligent minds to make quality judgments on the guilt or innocence of those charged with crimes. It is becoming so obvious that the random selected public is incapable of serving our society in a reliable way. To find Spector innocent in this case is to have broccoli for a brain.
Spector probably is guilty, just like O. J. & got away with murder, because of his legendary name. I think he did a great job producing Let It Be by the Beatles even though some of my fellow fans might disagree.
HE AND O.J. AND ROBERT SHOULD ALL BE IN THE SAME CELL FOR 40 YEARS, IMO.

Money talks, and sadly this Spector creep gets away with pulling the trigger and killing this woman. It just takes one person to throw the case. I'm certain that money has changed hands here. If it wasn't Spector on trial, this would of been over with months ago, and he would be in prison.

Note to Prosecutor: For now on, when you have a murder trial, Ask for a change of venue, Send it to the Feds, or step down. How many more murderers are you going to let back on the streets. Note to Jurors: Step down if you can not make a decision, ask for an alernate, thats what they are there for. You are not in an Ice cream store selecting flavors!
