Vick Tests Positive for Pot; Ordered to Stay Home

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has obtained court documents that indicate Michael Vick tested positive for marijuana on September 13, and will now face more strict release conditions from a federal court judge.

In court documents filed today, the judge ordered Vick to submit to any method of testing, "for determining whether the defendant is using a prohibited substance." The judge also ordered Vick to stay in his Virginia home -- with electronic monitoring -- every day from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. And he has to pay for the service! No Hyde for him!

In addition, Vick has been ordered to attend a substance therapy program and get mental health counseling. Vick will be sentenced on December 10, after entering a plea agreement in federal court on charges related to dogfighting. He faces up to five years in prison.

16. I feel sorry for Vick. This is all so dumb. The ugly little preachers wife who murdered her husband in cold blood didn't even get all this, she served what.......3 months in jail??? Leave him alone idiots, fining him is enough.

17. The Atlanta Journal article says he tested positive 17 days after he entered his plea agreement. Someone in his shape can usually test clean after a few weeks. Fat people can test positive for weed for up to a month.

This tells me he rolled a fatty and toked AFTER he plead out.

Not smart.

20. Something seriously wrong with this man. Smoking pot before sentencing seems like he's sending the judicial system the 'bird' ... I suppose these antisocial behaviors will give him street cred in prison...and perhaps help him avoid being some 300 pounder's bitch. He better hope they don't have rape stands in jail...

23. "These animal rights people are just a bunch of empty buckets!"

Actually you seem like the "empty bucket" to me. Are you saying you have no issue with electrocuting and hanging dogs? Are you saying that there is no need for a humane society or any cruelty to animals groups?

And to say this is seen or compared on the level as the war in Iraq by US citizens is both laughable and disingenuous on your part.

You sir are part of the problem. Did you watch the embarrassing display on ESPN last night by those Vick supporters? It would make me ashamed to live in Atlanta if I did live there.

You are a complete joke.

27. #16 - YOU SUCK!!!!

This loser keeps proving day after day he is a law breaker and doesn't want to do right!!
I hope the DA and Federal Agents continue to find other things to indict him on. Jail should be his permanent address! People give athletes far too much admiration, money and credit as descent human beings. The majority of athletes are NOT good role models for their sport, their fans or to society in general!!
