Britney Drives Illegally!

Britney Spears has been driving illegally.

A TMZ records check reveals the popwreck does not have a valid California driver's license. She has applied for one, but it's still in the pending file.

And get this: Spears has never had a California license for all the years she's lived in L.A.!

A DMV official told TMZ, "At this point, Britney Spears does not have a valid California driver's license. She has an application pending that she never completed."

TMZ has video of Spears driving here and there this weekend. She also has a pending hit and run criminal case.

Ding dang, y'all.

61. if you maintain duel residence, your not required for both states. yes,people let their license expire all the time, or don't change going to a new state, and although you can be ticketed and it's breaking the law, it doesnt mean the safety of her children are at stake - it's not like she doesnt know how to drive, people, so give it a rest.

and by the way, the last time i checked, DMV information is confidential - so i would like to know how TMZ, as well as some other poster on here, exactly obtained that info.... hmmm. one thing for the attorney or Britney herself to confirm this information, but to "look it up" through a "source" is illegal.....

62. This is old news TMZ. I saw this on Inside Edition last week. And by the way, Britney was not only driving without a license, she was text messaging with one hand and had a lit cigarette in the other. The kids were in the back seat. God help those kids.

64. Wow, I think I will call the California DMV and ask themt o give me information on Owen Wilson and maybe even his address. Because the DMV always cooperates with everyone and gives out information on people that you have no business asking about.

68. Since Brittney's legal residence is in Louisiana, she does not have to hold a driver's license from CA. She does have a license issued from her home state.
Not that this makes her a "good" driver.

72. If you all and I mean ALL don't stop harrassing this young woman she is going to end up dead. You are probably driving her so crazy she will just lose it one night and then you can spend 2 weeks talking about "what a bright light she was that was extinguished too early". Just like Anna NIcole....just like Princess Diana and God knows who else. When are you all gonna learn that to poke and prod and disect people you only accomplish the negative. Turn those ever judgmental cameras on yourselves, have you every single move posted everywhere and see how you like it. I have personally cancelled EVERY single magazine I used to enjoy for this reason. I am not a Brittany fan, BUT, I am a fan of letting people heal and get the help they need. She may have to hit rock bottom before she gets back up again....but isnt that her business, her families business and even the courts business??? Certainly isn't mine.

73. Has anyone ever thought, this girl has serious mental health issues? I have never cared for her as a musician/artist, but I know that if I can't say something nice I should keep my opinions to myself. Ask yourselves this... Is my life so bad that I have to pick and poke fun at someone else to feel good about myself? Also, what if this were your daughter, or sister, or you? When you get the urge to Brit Bash or any other bashing, you should be saying thank you Jesus, by the grace of God that's not me.. Now GROW UP!
