62. Wow! I've never seen such mean and ugly comments about a nice guy who can sing! What has he ever done to cause such an enormous amount of hate mail!
It made me a little sick to think that their are really people out there that have nothing better to do than cut down other people.
Please, people ....get a life!

63. Give it up you loosers! You ALL NEED TO GET A LIFE. LEAVE CLAY ALONE for God's sake! Enough of this crap!

Clay Aiken is a good guy!
He has worked with disabled kids, started his own foundation for autism and is a respected member of Unicef.

And, oh yeah, he it talented!

64. Well Unicef must think highly of Clay -- he's one of their Ambassadors. He's gone to countries and put himself in harm's way to help promote and raise money for the children of the world and for many worthwhile charities including the one he founded, The Bubel Aiken Foundation. For those of you who have nothing good to say about Clay and make nasty comments about him, I just wonder. Can't you do something better with your time and your life? Or does someone like Clay bug you because you realize you are so much less than he is? You all make me sick. This wonderful talented gorgeous man has done nothing to hurt anyone. And he constantly gets attacked by lowlifes who aren't worthy to wash his feet.

65. I'm so tired of seeing Clay Aiken attacked with hateful comments.

He's a decent guy who showed a lot of courage traveling to Afghanistan, Uganda, & the tsunami region for UNICEF - places where natural disasters and political upheaval created very real risks, especially for Western visitors entering areas of conflict or civil unrest.

Before his journeys, he did extensive preparation so he could honor the people by demonstrating appreciation for their cultures and the particular challenges they were facing, and he used his celebrity as a forum to educate the public and elicit support for the work of UNICEF and other charities that promote education and inclusion.

Heck, humanitarianism aside, it showed extraordinary courage just facing up to Simon week after week & taking some pretty mean-spirited criticism with grace. Aiken demonstrated real professionalism in trying to use those criticism to improve his performances.

Since early 2006, he's been the victim of a pathological stalker who lied about him to the tabloids and continues to try to defame him. He chose to ignore this person who even now continues to defame him. It's shocking that some supposedly legitimate print media still give this person a forum when the individual himself has demonstrated very little credibility.

After initially stating in interviews that he is not gay, Clay now declines to discuss his sexuality. In reality, it is no one's business but his own. Does he not deserve the same right of privacy any American deserves?

He's a singer and an entertainer, who also happens to be a humanitarian. You don't have to like his music, but why judge him, make fun of him, label him or even care what his sexual orientation may be.

The focus should be on his talent and his ability to entertain - which he does very well, especially in live performances with an ensemble that includes guest orchestras and a pair of stand-out female backup singers who perform solos that bring the audience to their feet night after night. Clay's banter is always very entertaining as he has a quick wit and enjoys interacting with his fellow performers and the audience, making each show fresh & unique.

Instead of bashing his appearance, his sexual orientation (do you know for sure what that is?), his choice of clothing or hair style, just leave him alone -

And if you don't like his music, don't listen.

66. And, by the way, Clay has actually READ Jenna Bush's book - and was impressed that she did not use a ghost writer. Another Bush connection: President Bush appointed Clay to a special committee on the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities. He has testified before Congress to try to increase appropriations for UNICEF and other organizations that promote children's health, education, and welfare.

Furthermore, the organization he founded himself, the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, has been the recipient of a government grant to further the work of inclusion of children with disabilities in activities and programs with typical children.

So he has the credentials to be at the book-signing - it's not just a photo-op!

67. Clay is a talented, sweet and funny man who has never done a damn thing to hurt anyone, and has helped many children who otherwise would not have been helped. There's a heap of ugliness out there and it's not in Clay Aiken.
