How Much Is Radiohead Worth to You?

The new Radiohead album, "In Rainbows," could be yours for the low, low price of $0. Or for the low, low price of $5. Or $10. It's totally your call.Radiohead
Beginning next week, the band is making its new CD available online -- and they're leaving the price blank -- pay whatever you want!

Think of it as the "take a penny, give a penny" tray at 7-Eleven -- but instead of a penny, you get the new Radiohead album! What'll ya give?

1. I think $10 USD is what people should pay, they are putting out this record on their own. But hey the beauty part is, you can do whatever you want. I love the "screw you" to the record industry. I am guessing they will not be nominated for any grammys.

4. Given inflation over the years, it stands to reason that CDs should cost about $12.

Mind you, if, as I heard someone say yesterday, if the new Radiohead is as good as their OK Computer it might be worth $1000.

9. Finally the album we've all been waiting for. I went to the link, and they actually charge 40 pounds for the discbox though, so it is not for free, not so clear on the downloads.

11. #8. They give you an option. You can chose to purchase the disc box for $40 (which comes with a whole bunch of stuff) or you can chose the download option and pay whatever you want.

Incredible idea from an incredible band!!!!

13. The download price is up to you, from zero on up. There may be a service charge of a buck or so.

Forty pounds for the boxed set is outrageous though.

15. Carilu,

You can download the album for the whatever-you-want-to-pay price, but it will also be available separately as part of a £40 box set, which includes the album on CD, two vinyl records, a CD with additional songs, photos, artwork and lyrics.
