Solange Knowles Talks About Divorcing at 21

Beyonce's little sister, Solange Knowles, has already been married, had a child and divorced -- all before she was 21 years old! So that's what she was doing when Beyonce was on tour!

The baby B beauty tells Essence magazine, "I am no longer married ... but I think it's very important not to dish details ... we were basically high school sweethearts." Well, school's out -- forever!

Knowles married college football player, Daniel Smith, in Feburary 2004 and had son Daniel Julez the following October. Timing is everything!

Not taking a backseat to her famous sister, the singer is currently working on a new album -- because who wants to be labeled "Beyonce's younger, less hot sister" for the rest of their life?! Solange also talks about not wanting to be as mainstream as her sister, because she wouldn't be able to go to the mall anymore. She must love her "Hot Dog on a Stick," -- to pick shopping over stardom!

108. You people are really hating. Solonge is beautiful and so what she had a baby and decided to get married before the child was born. Maybe she wanted a baby. In that case WHY WOULD YOU "POP PILLS or WRAP A LOG" At least she realized that it wouldn't work before she was in a loveless marriage. Lastly, she can sing and you can not compare her and her sister because Solonge is on a different spectrum of the music line. The best artist sometimes are the underground and independant artist.

110. This is what happens when alot of couples marry simply because the woman gets pregnant, & her parents would favor "marriage" over the 2 "youngsters" being "single parents". Just because you were in love in "high school" & end up pregnant does not mean you have to run out & jump the broom. "Things happen", & marriage to the wrong person only means being "miserable" & getting "seperated/divorced".

Folks need to start taking marriage more seriously.

114. First of all, Beyonce is over rated. She is very attractive, but nothing unusual to look at than any other fair complexed, curvy shaped female. Without Jay-Z, Beyonce would not have been as successful. The beats to her music is what sells, thanks to Jay-Z. On the other hand, Solange looks a lot like her sister, just darker. She certainly speaks better. I believe their parents were more focused on making Beyonce a star that their obligations to Solange were neglected, and she had the unsupervised freedom to get pregnant. I doubt seriously if she was ever married to Daniel Sr.

As for Jay-Z, he should consider Rhianna, a much more beautiful and poised young lady. Age should not be a factor. Jay-Z is much older than both, Beyonce and Rhianna. Rhianna is definitely competition for Beyonce. Rhianna has it all including class that Beyonce doesn't have. Jay-Z is smart. He knows that there's really nothing unique or exciting about Beyonce. She's common and typical. He could easily find her kind anywhere at anytime especially with his status. Anyone that dates Beyonce or Solange will find that there's nothing more to them than what meets the eyes. Looks are fleeting but morals and innate qualities are lasting, and the Knowles sisters are missing it!

115. I think that Solange is a talented young lady and she and her sister has 2 different beautiful styles. Solange has a beautiful son and I think that she made a great decision on her marriage if she felt like it wasnt working out for her. I wish her the best in her talented career.

116. i think jay-z should be a women who isnt a star.i dont think rihanna or beyonce is good for him.my opinion of rihanna changed when i saw her nude and painted silver in that video. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT DOES BEING NUDE AND PAINTED SILVER HAVE TO DO WITH AN UMBRELLA!!!rihanna claims to be shy but how many shy people would be on INTERNATIONAL tv naked.as for solange she shouldnt have married her baby daddy.there are alot of young single mothers in the world today.her parents are pimping beyonce out so hard that she will never need to work anyway. i agree with #111 matthew knowles just want it to look like his daughter wasnt a hoe but beyonces image to me screams hoe.look at the way she dresses! do you really have to be half naked to sing a song?

119. Carol....are your eyes green. Jay Z has been with Beyonce for a while and knows that she is a smart business woman. He's not going anywhere. Rhianna is a flash in the pan. She's likely not to have another major hit in another 2 years. Bey has already been a solid star for at least 10. She was a major star with Destiny Child just in case you forgot and Jay had nothing to do with that. She wrote most of the songs for the group and several of the songs on her first CD. She was good enough to be the first female to be awarded Most Outstanding Songwriter in 2006 by the industry. Anyone who does a duet with her has a hit. She is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world year in and out. If those many people are wrong then it's alot of wrong people. Stop hating on the girl. She is very talented and an all around entertainer. I have never seen so many hating females as the ones in this country. If you don't like seeing the girl, blame the media and not her.
