Eldest Hanson Hospitalized

TMZ has learned that Isaac Hanson, 27, the eldest of the family trio of the band Hanson, has been hospitalized suffering from a pulmonary embolism, thus postponing their concert in Tulsa tonight.

As the Tulsa World first reported, tonight's show "is definitely canceled." The paper spoke with Ken Philips, the band's publicist, who said Isaac was admitted to the hospital earlier today with severe shoulder and chest pain. "This could be serious, but nobody knows just yet," and added, "We are hoping for the best."

A pulmonary embolism is a serious condition. Blood clots travel to the lungs and can result in death if not treated immediately. Isaac has been hospitalized for this condition before.

Hanson, the family band that drove the kids crazy with the hit "MMMBop," is from Tulsa.

92. First of all, you mean people need to get over the dumb hanson jokes. How insensative can you be to not care about another human being. And second of all, i wish Issac the best and i am praying for him and his family. Hanson writes their own music, play instruments and are helping with AIDS awareness in Africa. What? just because they don't wear eyeliner, sing with winey voices, cuss on their songs, have slutty girls in their videos or are drug addicts or alcoholics in rehab------they aren't cool. They are the most real band i know of. They are not in it for the money, but for the love of music. God bless them!!!!!

96. Been there, done that! Had a broken big toe, had to wear a immobilizer boot. The boot banged my calf muscle, so after 3 days I stopped wearing the boot. My calf never hurt more in my life. 2 months later, I am having strange symptoms similar to having a cold (walking a staircase feels slightly exhausting). Over the next 2 weeks, things got worse. I finally went to urgent care - they sent me home saying I was fine. 2 more days of deterioration I checked into the ER and refused to leave. After 2 days, guess what - pulmonary emboli, worst they had seen (i.e. should be dead). 11 days of IV blood thinner later I was back on the streets. Oral blood thinners for another couple months and back to 100% - not fun. Get well soon
