K-Fed Retains Custody -- Brit Gets Visitation

Kevin Federline will retain custody of his children and Britney will get monitored visitation -- this after a court hearing lasting nearly three hours.

There's another hearing on October 26.

K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says both sides presented evidence at today's hearing. He told reporters outside that he and Kevin felt the ruling was "justified."

K-Fed showed up in court. Brit wasn't there. We just got a shot of Spears gassing up her SUV at a Shell gas station in the San Fernando Valley.

63. Man. What a wreck. I feel badly for those kids.

As for Kevin, I don't know what to think. With thier split custody, you never saw him out partying and driving around with his kids at all hours of the night. I know he's a dirtball for leaving Shar pregant like he did, but he does seem to have stepped up to the plate in a big way in taking her to court. Britney needs to get her act together if she wants to get those boys back.

Anyway you look at it, it's a crap situation. Kevin does seem to be the better parent at this point though..

66. Not at the hearing? NOTHING would keep me from a hearing about my childrens well being. This speaks volumes about what she's most worried about.

67. The "Spears' Cheers" squad is trying to pull out any accusation to demean Federline to the bottomless (pun intended) level of Spears, but nothing sticks (intended). Spears is unparalleled for her very public "unfitness".

While I'm sure that Federline's no saint, - he's no "Britney", either.

She wasn't required to attend, neither was Kevin. I am not defending her, I do think she should have been there but just wanted to say it wasn't required by the judge for this hearing.

It's possible that her lawyer thought it good for her not to be there. Who knows how she would have dressed or behaved. Better for her not to be there to not make things any worse than they are.

71. #68 I understand your point that she wasn't required to be there & that her lawyer might've thought it better for her not to make an appearance since she had the option. However, as the mother of two children myself, I cannot even imagine not doing SOMETHING...like sitting by the phone waiting for my lawyer to call me, instead of roaming out and about gassing up my SUV.

72. #68...a fit Mother has nothing to hide...she doesn't have to shy away from a hearing that concerns her children's custody...she has thumbed her nose at everything this judge has ordered...it's funny...he slob-porters never answer why she waited so long to get a license and drove them illegally...why she didn't follow through on all of the judges orders..her slob-porters just slobber and say..."he's a goldigger!"...whatever...

74. everyone hates KF for basically nothing more than not having any talent and being a "gold digger" well guess what, it takes 2 to breed. If you get dug out your just as stupid as the digger who cant make their own cash. Now. I am no Britney fan nor am I a k-fed fan but he has nothing better to do than be a stay at home mom and she has a "career" that will keep her partying and making appearances and god forbid, touring. MAYBE this is for the best RIGHT NOW. Also, in regards to both of them being sucky parents, guess what, kids out there are growing up with people who have done worse things than these 2 dumb kids (kids being brit and kfed) that decided to play house and managing to get along/ grow up decent. How do you think pam anderson and tommy lees kids are growing up? what kind of morals and values are those kids goin to have? i dont see anyone bitching about them.
