212. Daughtry has played to sell-out crowds everywhere they go. For example, nine days ago, Daughtry sold out the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL. Capacity there is 2,102, and number of tickets sold was 2,102. Daughtry is in great demand and has been adding concert dates every day, all over the world.

This past Saturday, several hundred people sat in front of Taylor Hicks in the Millersville gymnasium, and room that holds over 2,000. Most of them were there to see the winners of the school's internal "idol" contest. A few were diehard Soul Patrollers who travelled to see him because it was almost the last time he will be performing in front of big crowds (or, what they thought was going to be a big crowd).

A moment of silence for the fleeting 15 minutes of fame for Taylor Hicks. Even he said, "the music business is fickle."

213. I wish that Taylor's album would have done better, but I agree that it has pretty much peaked. In spite of this, with the exception of Daughtry, no one else from season 5 has caught up with him as yet, although Kellie Pickler is pretty close.
Considering that Taylor does not have a big hit single, no video and practically no air play, his concerts have done remarkably well, don't you think?

I agree with #207 and have wondered the same thing.What is the fixation with Daughtry fans on wanting this man to fail so badly?Just let his fans enjoy him and quit trying to tell us we are wrong for liking him.Chris fans are no experts on what is considered enjoyable music.A lot of us like the music that he performs so well.I don't like Daughtry's music, but have said he has a good voice, it all depends on what you like.Regardless of Daughtry's success, it doesn't change the fact that he has played up to an already successful formula.It's not too hard to see that.Of course, noone can say he isn't successful...right now.That can change and more than likely will, as it does for most.After a year or so of keeping up with Taylor, I have no doubt in my mind, that he will be around for a long time and most of his fans know this.I suspect all this arrogance and filthy degrading remarks about Taylor will eventually blow up in those fans faces.By the way, I don't believe for a minute that a certain poster didn't know anything about clive and Kelly.The media had his name in almost every article about Kelly's new cd and there is no way you could of missed that.In the end, all the so called Daughtry fans will let him down again, just like on AI, cuz the new sensation will come along.It's just a matter of time.I'm sure the die-hards will stick around to prove a point, but I think you will see those numbers are not as high as you think.Call me delusional or whatever, but I strongly believe this.I"m not too biased to realize that Taylor probably won't reach the superstardom of Daughtry, but we will see how his next cd goes...you never know.

215. mandm.....I agree with everything you said....I actually heard that there is a group of Daughtry fans who seek out Taylor articles and their aim is to bash, lie and do whatever it takes to try to bring him down. Why would anyone want to deprive someone of making a living doing what they love most? I, also, do not care for Daughtry's music but agree that he has a good voice and is a good person. It is some of his fans that I have an issue with.
I really hope that Taylor's next cd will be a real killer:)

216. Daughtry fans, if you think Taylor's career is over, then think again. He just once again won in a poll on the AI home page. Chris didn't win. In fact, he wasn't even in the poll. But Taylor won, because he's a winner. Just last week in Alabama, he was asked by the AARP to give a speech on how Depends changed his life, and also to help launch the release of the new extra super absorbant variety. Would Chris ever be asked to do that? Let me answer that for you. Depends wouldn't want someone like Chris for theiir spokemans because he doesn''t even use their product. Only real musicians use Depends.

Well since this article is about Taylor, I can post all I want.Maybe you should heed your own advice and go on Daughtry's boards and say how much you love him and stay off of any and every article concerning Taylor from this point on.Of course that won't happen b/c your so overly addicted to Taylor you can't help yourself.I love the fact that you help keep Taylor in the limelight and it doesn't even matter what you say b/c anyone with any sense(that knocks all you Daughtry fans out) can read one of your posts and see how lame they are.None of your posts have any substance.You posters just come off as insecure fools.So keep giving Taylor articles the hits, cuz thats's what these sites want.By the way, Daughtry better step it up and fast b/c "The next great Am. You spent months posting on DAUGHTRY's splash article, and on the Big E article about DAUGHTRY, and now you act like we're the ones that are obsessed for posting here? Sorry, but why don't you look at yourself before you go making comments like that. And BTW, I can post here all I want to as well, and it doesn't mean anything, except that I think Taylor is a loser, and I'm tired of seeing his stupid psycho fans bash Daughtry every chance they get, so I will reply to it. If you don't like what we say, then DON'T read it. And about the band show, i'm not worried in the least. Daughtry are NOT going to be replaced with anyone because there's room in the music industry for other bands, BUT none of them are going to come anywhere close to being as awesome as Daughtry because someone as talented as Chris dosn't just come along everyday, and there was no one that auditioned that had a fraction of the talent that Chris does.

One of the things that truly bugs me about Taylor bashers is that they really want to believe that no one else but the ardent Soul Patrol could possibly like Taylor....this is so far from the truth. I consider myself just a fan and I know that there are many others like me. There is an ardent group that will go distances and have seen many of his shows, but don't the other artists have their dedicated fans as well?
