I have never understood why everyone thinks she is so beautiful. I think she looks like an iguana or something. Like in the Truth About Cats and Dogs - I always thought she was nothing to get excited over. She is fugly!!!!

She's a character actor. Character actors aren't model-perfect at all, they're more like the rest of us, and then some. She's lovely, and has great presence. Folks who deride her comparatively off-beat looks (compared to the plasticky you-know-who) come off as narrow-minded puds with a chip on their shoulder. I'd like to see her on stage, beautifully lit, in some Ibsen play.
I wish she appeared in more good movies, I feel like she's capable of alot more. Perhaps I'm naive. Sigh.
