Kat Von D and her boyfriend got matching tattoos with each other's names on them -- but they've only been dating a month!

While most would wait more than 6 weeks to brand their lover's name onto their skin for life, the "L.A. Ink" hottie and her long haired, Shaggy-like boyfriend showed off their new unicorn tats at a Rolling Stone Hot Party last night.

Perhaps a tattoo removal show is in the works.

UPDATE: Thanks to astute TMZ reader Pam, we've been able to i.d. Kat's new man. He's Alexander Orbie Lee Kelton Orbison (yes, that Orbison) and he's the drummer for Cisco Adler's band Whitestarr. Who knew? Oh yeah ... Pam.

UPDATE #2: Kat was on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last week and told Ellen she'd never tattoo a boyfriend's name on any of her clients if it were a new relationship. Someone doesn't follow their own advice!

78. She also said on the Ellen D. show that one leg is like her yearbook she has everyone she cares about tattoo something on it. That it's her history.
And someone said she was jumpin' on some chick in the "date" episode. Dude that's her boyfriend with the long hair.

kat von-d just knows who she is and what she wants.
she happens to be a very talented artist, like ami and chris, they just had a parting of ways, and all of them are hard headed and that's why they didn't get along!

85. Come one people watch her show. You will understand Kat has an awesomeness about her and its not just the sexy tattoos all over her body! She has a unique captivating voice as well as a slightly hidden but ferocious sex appeal. In her show she talks about her right leg which is tattooed up more then the popular hot girl in 5th grade who broke her leg. She likes to let people leave her mark on her. And even though she is covered in ink she is an awesome classy lady! She is gonna make a good life and will not be reduced to trailer trash. More and more different and various people are getting awesome works or art on them. Times they are a changing so you better get moving!

I love Kat...she is an amazing person......She doesnt regret any of her tattoos.....even her exs names.......because they are land marks in her life.....she also knows that most people would regret getting their then boyfriend or girlfriend tattooed on them later if they break up.....she is absolutely gorgeous and she knows what shes doing.......so back off.

89. Who gives a crap really people, havent you got anything better to do than scruitinise someone for doing something they like? Its no ones business really, and Im pretty sure Kat can take it anyway. It is a different situation if someone was to pay Kat to do a tatt on them of their recent gf/bf name, and if Kat chooses not to do it. It is her shop, her rules, go somewhere else. As far as her doing it aswell, she is a tattooist, she can easily cover it up or remove it, whatever, she could even just keep it as a reminder of the time she was in love. Anyone who has tattoos knows, even the crap ones you dont like anymore, are an expression of what you were feeling at the time. Its a memory. Thats all that matters. I think your a champ Kat and you are a true artist. If any of these losers would just take the time to look at your work theyd see that too. Who cares what they say anyway hey?!! Dont ever change!
