Think you may be missing a few things:
1) Sedgwick's character on 'The Closer' is not intended to be a "hot babe". She's supposed to show SOME of us that, regardless of where you come from or whose image you do/dont fit, it's ultimately what you've got going for you - like the ability to REALLY understand people -that make someone appealing and successful --- she constantly uses shallow and naive reactions to her, like yours, to her advantage. NOT THAT SHE ISNT IN A GREAT PACKAGE.
2) If you've ever seen Sedgwick in an interview, you'd DEFINITELY think she is one hot, sexy, self-confident woman. Kevin Bacon does. (Want to put your picture up against his?) Maybe too hot for you to handle. There is something called makeup and wardrobe that's used to define a character.
3) THE BIGGEST POINT YOU MISSED IS: She was being sarcastic, trying to be decent to the photog but not encouraging pix. Maybe you could take a few lessons from this smart, successful, happy, and classy woman.

22. A picture of a decent actress, who isn't interested in making the scandal headlines, isn't worth money--and that's a good thing. People like Britney Spears (gag), who's entire life lately consists of doing stupid things to get attention, are interesting only to photographers and others trying to make $ off her foolishness. Let the photographers follow the foolish like puppy dogs while the decent people get to live their lives in peace.

24. Ms. Sedgwick started as a teen actress on the soap Another World. She has grown and blossomed greatly since then both as an actress and as a wife/mother. Her numerous awards attest to her increasing skills at turning acting into a true art form. Her ability to maintain a "near-normal" life with husband Kevin Bacon and their children is admirable and a refreshing change from what we usually see these days. Kudos to both Ms. Sedgwick and Mr. Bacon!

I sincerely hope to never see another story about her on TMZ.

25. How refreshing to come to TMZ and see two women whom I admire greatly, Kyra and Uma Thurman. Both women are classy, great actresses and down to earth. I love The Closer - it's one of the very few television shows I watch. Neither of these women look or act like plastic Hollywood bimbos. Kyra and Kevin Bacon seem very happy together.
Now leave them alone. Unlike Britney Spears, these women don't look for excuses to create a paparazzi frenzy.

26. This has GOT to be the UGLIEST leading actor on tv in YEARS. After two hrs. in makeup, she STILL looks like a damn IGUANA. If they EVER put her and Sarah Bernhard on the same show, I'm leaving.

27. I saw Kyra and Kevin in Central Park the day after Thanksgiving. My husband and I walked right beside them while they were walking their dog. We did not let them know that we recognized them. I can tell you she is very pretty in person, gorgeous for someone over 40. Both of them were very down to Earth and were as normal as any of us.
