51. i think the only drama here is the drama that TMZ is creating and you all are showing your stupidity by eating it up with a silver spoon, just like everyother bit of celebrity GOSSIP!!! as with all celebrity stories regarding their personal affairs, we know NOTHING, NADA.....all this is speculation, and personally i find it disgusting how envolved so many of you get, where do you come off calling him a sperm donor or her saying she tricked him into getting pregnant, again YOU ALL DON'T KNOW THEM OR ANY OTHER CELEB., yes i am just as guilty for being on here and reading it, but i at least know to take everything i hear/read with a grain of salt, the majority on here take it in as fact and i think that is more crazy and lame than the celebs. you label crazy and lame!!!! it's funny, while we are on here wasting our time writing about people we don't know about issues we know nothing about, they're going on with their daily LIVES...i think we all need to get one!!!!

52. Until you have been in this situation you people acting like you know all the laws need to keep your mouth shut. After a child is born to two parents who are not married there are two forms that need to be signed - a paternity paper and the birth certificate papers. I chose to put the last name of my child's father at the time on the bc and the notary looked at me and asked if I was sure I wanted his last name on the birth certificate, I asked don't I have to becuase he signed the paternity papers - the answer is NO!!!! This mistake later cost me $16,000.00 to justify (I had the name changed and terminated rights).

Now, for those of you saying she did this out of selfishness - get a clue. Do you have any idea what it is like to fill out school forms and have to put a separate last name for your child? Or how about when you call the school to pick up your son and you say your last name but you have to give a different last name for your child. Bridge will be the sole provider for him, Tom will be in and out, but the baby will be living with his mommy. Children who have divorced parents this is different, hence the mother has the last name of the children's father.

And for the self righteous people, don't even start your crap on this is the reason why children should not be born out of wedlock - it is the 21st century it happens all the time. And frankly, I'm glad I never married the idiot, divorce is expensive, Bridge is probably thinking the same thing!!!

53. I think Bridget did the right thing to use Moynahan. Tom acts like he doesn't even want the kid. If Tom ever grows up, maybe Bridget will reconsider, but I won't hold my breath. I like Bridget. She is a 'well-behaved' celebrity and I think will make a good mom. I'm sure it's been hard to do it all alone. I respect her.

There is nothing wrong with the way Bridget is acting...she has been a perfect lady since..all this has happened...her attention has been on her baby...Tom's has been everywhere else but the baby....He is like a little boy...needing a new toy...when the old one gets too boring for him..He will find out the new toy gets old too...and she didn't mess up his life style at all...so ..so what is the gripe...Bridget's life is the one that changed...and she doesn't seem to mind...it is filled with baby

56. As a matter of fact I do know what it is like to pick up your child with a different last name and you know what I DON'T CARE! My son has my maiden name (I wasn't married when I had him and the father was a JERK) then I got married so yes sometimes I do feel like my son may feel isolated with the different name but he has the same name as my brother and my mother so who cares. When I call to make doctor appointments I say I need to make an appointment for Joe Shmoo and they ask his DOB pull his chart and when they say is this his mother I say yes, Jane Doe......NO BIG DEAL! Kids go to school with their brothers and sisters and they all have different last names, it's not uncommon now a days, I think schools, doctors, etc. have seen it all.

You call, this is "sarash Smith", I need to make an appointment for my son John.
Receptionist "Hold on please"
Receptionist again "We can't find any records for "John Smith"
ME: His last name isn't John Smith, It's John Rambo"
Receptionist :OH, I see (In that TONE of voice)


Same with schools....same with school forms, same with athletic activities.

She made the absolutely BEST decision a woman could make. Besides, it makes it all the harder for a man to try and take custody, or even get visitation.

She will be the primary parent in the household and will be dealing with normal everyday mother things, the boy deserves to have her name.

58. It is unfair to the child that he doesn't have his father's name. I can understand how upset the whole breakup is but it's not the child's fault. Certainly we on the outside don't know the whole story and hope that they are able to work out something that is acceptable and healthy for the child. My children are from a broken marriage and the impact on them is endless and wishes everyday that we all become less selfish and embrace the ups and downs of relationships and don't run away at the first sign of trouble. If we look at our world and our children and we all (including me) were a bit more mature about things our children would benefit from it and we'd have a more balance world!!!
