78. Tom Brady is an idiot. Why should the baby have his last name? Bridget will probably do most of the child-rearing. I also don't think he's going to be that involved-he hasn't done anything to make me think otherwise. I love some of you people who think that sowing up for the birth makes you "Father Of The Year". I'm rooting for the Cleveland Browns when they play the Pats. In fact, given whow Tom Brady has screwed up big time, I'll root for ANYONE playing against the Pats.

Ever. she didn't say he couldn't be his dad.. luckily for him. She doesn't even need his money which makes it even better.

80. In my opinion, the birth certificate is just as it should be. The child should bear the 'legal' last name of the mother. So that paternal descent is established, the father should be named on the child's birth certificate if the father is known. But the child should bear the last name of the mother if there is no marriage.

82. Of crouse the baby should have the mother's last name. She is the one that will be with the baby the most. She isn't married to Brady then why should the baby's last name be Brady? Last time I checked a baby is as much as the mother's as the fathers. For the record my husband took my last name. Our children has both our last names. My last name is just as important as his.

83. I know many single Mums whose kids have her last name, although the father and Mum agree on paternity. Made it much easier for the Mum when filling paperwork for doctors, state, and the etc. as she didn't have to explain "not married and we broke up." Also, my son's last name is different from mine [I kept my maiden name], it's no problem calling and making appts - "This is Jane Doe, Sam Martin's Mum ..." I've had no problems, no weird looks or anything. At the hospital, my son had my last name for the first two days of life [before the certificate was issued]. It's no big deal - not sure why some folks are getting worked about this ...

84. wtf at all the people blaming bridge, wtf. tom brady is an idiot in my book. dumped bridget for giselle and wasn't even there for bridget throughout the pregnancy even though it was his kid. so good for bridget, give him your last name man, brady doesn't deserve to be a part of this kids life as he seems not to want it and would rather spend his time with his little brazilian model, who isn't even that good looking.

Heroes make mistakes. However, you define your own hero. Why would Bridget date him for 3 years if he didn't have good character? Why would Bridget give her son the same names (Edward Thomas) of a man with bad character? It is sad that you think a public lunch makes one a hero. It is no wonder that you think he has bad character.

They broke up. She was pregnant. It took two to get knocked up. These two will knock out their issues in private, hopefully.

So what if he moved on? Maybe Bridget didn't want to move on. Maybe she felt uncomfortable looking for new love while pregnant. This speculation is insane. Tom never questioned the paternity. Tom never spoke negatively about her. Look around at all the other lousy men. He looks great in comparison.

Brady's wealth far exceeds what BM will ever earn. Since she isn't whining, I would imagine that they are privately coming to some mutual agreement about money, if not custody. They have moved on. So should we (myself included)

86. Romo4u you make very good points. Tom has not handled any of the situation well, as a matter fact he hasn't handled it at all! It's all PR when he says he wants to be in the baby's life. A stand up guy is one that will be there whenever and handle whatever needs to be handled with grace, respect and humility. The only thing TB is looking for is a yes man, a hot chick and fans. Bridget and more importantly John is so much better without him and his fake sense of reality. She's the one taking care of John and making sure he is secure and happy. It doesn't matter how it happened or who didn't use what. They were both there and they should be enough. TB should tell his girlfriend that he needs to take care of this and be in the baby's life and his girlfriend should be secure and mature enough that she graciously tells him to definately be in that baby's life. It's so sad that he seems to be the insecure, self-righteous, pompous jerk that hes acting like. Believe me, if he were anywhere around CA it would be known. I hope Bridget finds someone that will replace TB and be the father figure this baby needs in his life. Best of luck to you Bridget. You seem to be a caring person and a devoted Mom. To bad I can't say the same for TB. What a waste.

VIRGINIA WAHOO did not say anything to contradict his or herself. And Tom does not look great in comparison. He looks just like other lousy men, if not lousier than they are. Heroes do make mistakes, BUT THEY ALSO TAKE ACTIONS TO CORRECT THEM, and it appears that Tom has not done that. HEROES ALSO LEARN HOW TO DEAL CIVILLY WITH THEIR ENEMIES. That means that even if Tom hates Bridget he'd learn how to deal with her in a civil manner for the sake of their son.

You need to take a chill pill. If she tried to trap Brady then she would have given her son the Brady surname. She did not. She named him John Edward Thomas MOYNAHAN. I think that her giving the baby two of Tom's named (Edward and Thomas) shows that she's open to his being in the baby's life, once he grows up and stops acting like a lovestruck teenager and dumps his trashy girlfriend. If you want to know what I mean by "trashy" then google her image and stuff including kiddie porn will come up as results.

88. Well pardon me Romo4u - I didn't realize that someone who is successful in their career means they have "good character." That would mean people like Donald Trump would have "good character" just because he is successful in business. Hmmmm ... I don't see it. I was speaking about Tom in a "personal" way, not professional. I am sorry if in your defense of your Tommy you chose not to see that difference.

My point about "no factual information" was just that - we don't know what is going on behind closed doors. BUT we do know that Tom hasn't seen John since he was born and we all know Tom has had some days off. That is factual. I find it hard to believe if he is that excited about fatherhood that he could not make some time to see that sweet baby.

You are right - heroes do make mistakes. I just can't believe after all of these months that Tom is still making them! Why haven't his parents AND Gisele grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and given him a good talking to? Of course, they might have and he is choosing to ignore their advice. Who knows?

You are right also about Tom not saying anything negative about Bridget. Tom had Gisele and "her friends" do it for him. That is why everyone is so angry at Gisele. She stuck her large nose (yes she is beautiful and successful but her nose is huge!) into business where it didn't belong! What a foolish girl! It will either backfire on her or give her much needed publicity for her business ventures. What is the saying? Any publicity is good publicity?!

It would be easy for Tom to redeem himself. In fact, we are all waiting and rooting for him to do so. Why hasn't he? A lunch date doesn't make a hero, but boy would Tom score points and we Americans are very forgiving of our heroes. Gisele is in Australia. It is a perfect time to take care of baby business!

Maybe the only reason that Tom "is looking good" to you compared to other guys is because of the media attention. A lot of which he brings on himself by practically having sex with Gisele in the middle of NY streets and kissing strangers' babies. If no one was watching, would he have flown to CA for the birth AND purchased the flowers? Who knows?

Tom needs both legal and PR advice. Maybe Tom is like BritBrit and refuses to listen to anyone but himself. MISTAKE!

89. I think TB has some damn nerve being vocally livid about the pictures in OK, when he was photographed all over Europe with GB all the time Bridget was pregnant and had to fend for herself with no support from that jerk.

He made it clear he didn't want kids so why is he in such a huff over a few beautiful photos of Bridget and little John? Let's face it, she has been taking excellent care of this baby from the day of conception to the present, while he has not demonstrated one ounce of fatherhood, other than being present for the birth.

I hope he's not going to be one of these absentee fathers who contributes no emotional support to his child, while criticizing the mother over every little thing about the baby. Leave her alone and go back to your career and your girlfriend.

Also, if he is livid he must have some feelings because if he was truly indifferent to Bridget and the baby he would not care at all.

I'm beginning to think the real baby in this situation is Tom and not little John. Tom should be forever named in the tabloids as " Baby boy Brady."

Bridget probably gave John her last name because TB is an embarassment and a loser as a father and role model

The only facts are that TB &BM broke up. TB is dating GB. BM claimed to be pregnant by TB. BM birthed a baby that has TB on birth certificate as the daddy. TB plays professional football and travels August to Feb. Aside from those limited facts, you don't know sheet. Including if/when TB assisted BM with doctors & prenatal care.

Hopefully BM wont raise her child the way some of you have been mistreated.
