93. It appears there are a lot of bitter baby mamas here.

Tom and Bridget were BROKEN up for over a month when Tom began dating Gisele. Tom and Bridget were broke up THREE MONTHS when Bridget announced her pregnancy.

For crying out loud, why do so many of you feel like you know these people and feel like it is up to you to condemn and JUDGE Brady? He has a RIGHT to move on with his life after his relationship with Bridget was OVER. It is too bad of the timing of her pregnancy, but it was OVER. For whatever reason, she announced her pregnancy THREE MONTHS later. These are not "insider" comments, they are FACTS. Sure, the timing of it all is lousy, and it surely hurt Bridget, but such is life.

And to those who say Tom shouldn't be in public with Gisele - GET A LIFE. The man is a famous football player (and a GORGEOUS one). It is not his fault photographers FOLLOW HIM. He should not be expected to stay holed up inside. That is ridiculous. He has a RIGHT to a life. If someone takes a picture of him with his GIRLFRIEND of almost a year and it hurts Bridget, that is sad and I feel for her, but she needs to move on and hopefully find herself a nice man too.

As for the baby's name - she has a right as an unmarried woman to chose whatever name she wants for the child.

Tom as the father - named on the birth certificate - has the RIGHT - to petition the probate court (or the equivalent in CA - I am not familiar with CA as I do not practice law in CA) to add his last name to John's. It can by hyphenated. It will be a long name, but it will read something like this John Edward Thomas Brady-Moynahan. Bridget's last name will still be the "last" - last name, but his will still be included as part of the legal last name. Bridget can try to "fight" that, but the Court will grant his petition if he chooses to go that route.

I doubt at this point in time he will not do this. He is busy with his job, and I don't think he wants to antagonize Bridget. Despite what all you bitter baby mamas seem to think, I believe these two adults (who created this beautiful child) will work together to do what is in the best interest of this little boy so he can grow up knowing he has TWO parents who love him. They do not have to be together to raise him properly. Although Bridget may be hurt, that doesn't mean she won't do right by her son!

Just because some of you apparently can't see past your own bitterness does not mean Bridget will do the same.

Good comments Caligirl. I do agree what you had just said. Karma is going to get back at Tom Brady. I am waiting for it to happen so that I can laughed to all Tom Brady's fans who think Bridget had got pregnant to trapped Tom. I had the same prediction that Gisele will end up dumping Tom Brady. I had lost the respect for Tom Brady. He may be a good football player but an immature guy who need to grow up. I don't care much for Gisele cause she was wrong in bad mouthing Bridget in public.

Bridget: She's a beautiful lady. I believe she's hurting over this but this too will come to pass as they say. It will take sometime and I hope she is not consummed by bitterness and hatefulness. Take notes from(Sheen/Richardson, Baldwin/Basinger). This is only the beginning. The thought of her having to share her baby with Tom (and Gisele by default) is probably killing her. I believe she did the right thing naming her son Moynahan. I don't believe the pregnancy was a trick on her part because of the timing. I don't believe it was goodby sex either. I think they had a stormy relationship all along prior to the end.

Tom: May be keeping some distance to avoid enraging a woman he may believe feels scorned. I don't think he knows how to handle this thing quite yet. I think if he could do it over again, he would have flaunted his new GF while old GF is pregnant. He will man up when he realizes HIS SON is truly fatherless. And wait until another man steps in the picture to play interloper just like Gisele. Tom is screwing plenty but rest assure, he won't like it when Bridget, the mother of HIS SON, starts doing the same and this new man starts running all over LA with JET. No way. Give it some time. Jealousy cuts both ways.

Gisele: She did give an interview a while back saying she will be a great stepmom or something to that effect. Here is the thing folks,When a woman gives birth, it is all about the baby, then mom, then dad/and
the families involved. You say things like:"Great news. We are glad
everyone is healthy" It's joyful having a new baby""We are glad all went well". You get my drift. Instead, we hear nothing from Tom and his family. But we are blessed with "I will make a great stepmom." I, me, I, me, I yes I me, I me. I think that deep inside, Gisele knows that she is "a huge issue" revolving around the sad situation. She should not be the issue, but she has interjected herself in a bad situation. I am not saying this is her fault. And I am not saying Tom cheated. I am saying that it's quite possible that Tom had Gisele on tap before breaking up with Bridget and only a dummy can't see thru that. So it's understandable if Bridget feels hurt.

Legally: I think someone already posted what TB can do legally (assuming anything needs to be done). We don't know if he wanted his name on the bircert. Maybe he he demanded DNA and Bridget got pissed off leading to this. Also if Bridget accepts child support, she may be legally compelled to (change whatever may need changing, we don't know what that is). Also, she may just tell TB to put the money in JET;s bank account so he can access it when he's old enough.

98. Well the father's name is not automatically inplaced in CA courts nor is it ordered. Like one judge said..."you want your child to have your name? Then you should have thought about marriage prior to these precedings."

I think Giselle needs to watch it! Look at Britney's life? Did not Britney come between Shar and Kevin while Shar was pregnant with Kevin's second child? Now Britney is on a downhill slope. When it is Giselle's turn she will know that pain first hand. Karma is not a lady!

Giving a child the father's name is a convention, that is all. The child will be living with Bridget. She wants him to have her name. Big whoop.

Gisele got dumped by Leonardo DeCaprio because she was so dumb, Victoria's Secret because she was too greedy & I predict Brady will dump her, too, when he's had his fun. She was the conniving one, not Bridget.

102. Moynihan has clearly demonstrated to me that she would have been an unfit wife. No woman giving birth to a son should disgrace her son by refusing to recognize the father.

This case, like hundreds of thousands in our country today, clearly demonstrates that we do not live in a patriarchy -- and perhaps never did. And if this is is the kind of matriarchy that is the new order, it is time to overthrow it.

Perhaps from now on males should be given their father's names, girls' their mother's name. But the final decision should be left with the professionals: the genealogists and thte geneticists who have to track runaway dads and put up with bitchy moms.

103. I am a Pats fan and I used to adore Tom Brady. I even had a crush on him. iIthink the way he has treated Bridget throughout their relationship (he's well-known for making-out with "dates" at private golf courses around Boston), during the pregnanacy and now is revolting. I think that Bridget wouldn't have trapped him, I think she wanted marriage before having a child. At 36, you only stay with a man for 3 years that you expect to marry. they broke-up suddenly and he started dating Gisele within a matter of weeks. okay, so she's pregnant and it their relationship was over than she has to decide if she wants to be a single mom. He was publicaaly all over Gi before announcing the pregnancy--that he left to Bridget. He allowed nasty comments to be made about her on these websites and in the tabloids and disn't stand-up for her. He allows Gisele to play "stepmum" before the baby's born and when they have only been dating a few months. Poor Bridget! Yes she is better off without him. He'll be at best a paret-time dad to John placing him after football and supermodel sex. I hope Bridget marries and John gets a real dad.

104. Tom would have seen the birth certificate application. His name is on it. He agreed to the Moynahan last name. It does make it easer for school functions and doctors, etc. Also, Bridget did homor Tom by not speaking about him publically, inviting to the birth (that's the only way he would have kbown when it was), not blasting Gisele----which would have been so easy to do especially over the "classy" baby basket sent when she and Tom were dating only a few months followed up by another basket with "supermodel" on the tush, and by using his midlle and first names. Maybe he wanted Edwatd Thomas so that he can neame his "real" son Thomas Edward Brady. Since the birth, has he seen jhis kid once in 6 weeks? We've seen pictures of him and Gisele but no CA sightings. DEADBEAT DAD!!!!!!
