Lets Get This Party Started
Judge to Britney: Gimme More (of Your Cash)

Popwreck Britney Spears lost custody of her kids to ex-hubby Kevin Federline earlier this week. And in an added blow, the mama-with-the-drama has been told by an L.A. judge that she must pay for her own parenting counseling and drug testing before she can attempt to reclaim custody of her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

In light of her recent court craziness, friends are worried about Brit-Brit's finances. One source told Page Six that, "she is running out of money. Her fragrance didn't do well. She has no cash flow coming in and she's spending money like water." Maybe it was all the Starbucks and fast food?

Vanessa: Do As I Say, Not As I Do

For a girl who got caught with nude pics of herself, "High School Musical" star/Zac Efron arm candy Vanessa Hudgens sure sounds self-righteous. The Disney-fied teen queen had little sympathy for troubled stars Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears and their drama-filled lives. She told Us Weekly, "I honestly think it's stupid. It's easy to stay out of those situations."

About as easy as it is to keep your clothes on.

Clooney's a Bachelor? Pfeiffer's Fault

Is Michelle Pfeiffer the real reason George Clooney's stayed single for so long? Pfeiffer told a British TV interviewer that she has a long-standing bet with two-time "Sexiest Man Alive" that he'll never get married. Clooney, she said, bet her $100,000 that he'd never tie the knot. But Pfeiffer told BBC 1 host Jonathan Ross that she counter-bet Clooney that he would get married.

"I bet him he would get married, and he keeps inflating it from $100 to $100,000," said fabulous Pfeiffer, adding that, "I still think he will ... he's a handsome devil."

76. My point , as illustrated, is that your facts are not representative of the overall picture.
I DO agree with you. There are terrible parents of both sexes. No woman that is a noncustodial parent should be treated differently by the court than a noncustodial father. They should pay equally - I am absolutely in agreement.
Courts are terribly unfair - unfortunately for each deadbeat mom, you will probably find a dad who has a smart lawyer to get him out of paying sufficient support. That is also a fact.
And to repeat my point, it is an uncontestable fact that more men are deadbeats than women.

77. #74: Recognize him as a fathers' rights ranter...rather than someone who is able to realistically look at the total picture. He's not going to change his skewed point of view, and he'll never recognize that his words might be more valuable without all the other garbage thrown in.

78. Poor Brit... she may have to come to terms with actually living in a home she owns rather than hotel jumping every night, that clothes can be washed and re-worn instead of buying new ones every other day, and $80K Mercedes are not disposable when you bang them up too much - she maybe even figure out that she needs only one to get to Starbucks and back rather than a variety in diggerent colors and who know how many other vehicles. ---- I'm not hatin' her but geez this is soooo ridiculous, she needs serious professional help or at least her own full show with Jerry Springer followed up with Dr. Phil.

79. realistic, let me just refer you to the study done by Sanford Braver & Diane O'Connell (http://www.geocities.com/capitolHill/5910/Baskerville/Deadbeats1.pdf. See also: http://www.asu.edu/clas/asuprc/sanfordbook.htm).

Additionally, "the percentage of "deadbeat" moms is actually higher than that of
dads who won't pay, even though mothers are more consistently
awardedcustody of children by the courts.

Census figures show only 57 percent of moms required to pay childsupport -- 385,000 women out of a total of 674,000 -- give up some or all of the money they owe. That leaves some 289,000 "deadbeat" mothers out there, a fact that has barely been reported in the media. That compares with 68 percent of dads who pay up, according to thefigures.

Men who are due child support are also getting tired of deadbeat moms' excuse that they
can't pony up the money, and some courts have responded. California lawyer Eudene Eunique in February was denied a passport because she was $30,000 behind in child-support. Instead of spending money on visiting her family in Mexico and on business contracts, the appeals court ruled Eunique's money should go to her kids. Meanwhile, warrant officers in southwest Florida earlier this summer dubbed an effort to list the area's top deadbeat moms who owed up to $19,000 in support as "Operation Father's Day." Included on the list were Trudi Dana, 43, who owes $19,001 and 29-year-old Mary Mahadie Friar, who owes $16,493.

Of course, the problem of deadbeat dads remains a serious one. Many more
men than women have to pay child support, making the overall number of
deadbeat dads much greater. The statistics show 4.3 million moms out
of 6.3 million who are supposed to receive child support actually get
it. That leaves the alarming figure of about 2 million deadbeat dads,
putting them more in the media spotlight than deadbeat moms. But men
also still pay much more in child support. The Census Bureau also released numbers showing fathers paid an average of$3,000 to custodial moms. Women paid little over half that. Moms also get about 60 percent of what they are owed, whereas dads only get 48 percent.

Not only are the dads paying up more when they don't have custody, but when the court does hand the kids over to dads, they work more than moms who have custody. While 7 percent of custodial moms work more than 44 hours a week,24.5 percent of single custodial dads work more than 44 hours. And only about half as many custodial dads get
government help than moms."

I'm not making up what I said in my previous post, realistic. Although there are certainly deadbeat dads, statictically speaking, deadbeat moms outnumber deadbeat dads. It's just a contemporary urban legend that extremist feminists generated. I say this as being a supporter of feminism in general, the ideals of equality for all. But, like so many other movements, feminism was taken over in the '70s by an extremist element who used and abused the original movement to foster male-hating myths and wage a social war against males using both the media and legislation to gain their misguided and very harmful "successes" against men and family in general.

My ex was one of those and so my knowledge of this is quite extensive.

81. Britney is not running out of money. She is raking in around seven -hundred thousand a month still. She is still worth around one-hundred million. Even with the homes, costs of her staff, insurances, lifestyle, crazy spending,Kevin, etc., she is still a long way off from the danger zone let alone bankrupcty. if her expenses increase and money decreases, then she will be in trouble. She is still ahead in the money and at least in this area of her life. Nothinglast forever, but she is stil lway ahead. Add that that rumor has it, the new cd is llokinggood for a fall relases by Jive and it will bring $$$$$$$$$ mega sales. Europe alone will sell. people here, do not ask me, or even in Europe, why people will buy this crap of a cd from her ,but they will be rushing the cd racks to buy BRITNEY!!!!!!!!!

82. vanessa-little miss-disney-goody-two-shoes needs to shut her pie hole! With her hard to find nude pics floating around online, she tried hard for attention, but in the end it was not a real "scandal" only because her naked pictures were so gross that nobody could stand to look at them.

Note to little miss bushy, if you want people to desire your pics, then you need to actually be attractive in them! That disgusting porcupine on your hoo-hoo needs some serious pruning!!! Seriously little girl, you need to be schooled on how to wax; please visit a salon near you!

Oh and on what planet are you so popular that you've had to deal with the endless, intrusive paparazzi scrutiny that the girls that you are bashing have had to endure? You still may only be a flash in the pan, lttle hypocrit. so check yourself.

Oh, yeah, and prune the bush, sister girl!

83. bitter, party of one!!

yeah, ignore the epic-post ranter who is only a not-so-closeted mysoginist. he reveals himself in his rant against the"feminist movement". one of the few times in history where women have actually had a real say in the political and legal landscape of the country and they are still vilified for it. whereas men as a class always get everything their way, so they freak the few times that they don't. in general men think they are entitled to have their point-of-view be superior. this is still a patriarchal society where women as a class will always be the under dog.

the civil rights gains by women and other minorites have all but been lost to the hyper-right wing and still lasting backlash, primarily headed by the christian right that just can't stand the thought of a society where women are considered equal to men. simple bigotry on their part hiding behind the excuse of religion!nnof course indiviually there are bad mothers out there but don't focus on the exceptions, as he tries to do obscure the truth, but focus on the rule.

i doubt he's really the good father he claims to be. i think he just outed himself as a bitter little man who didn't get his way so now he hates women.

84. Nah, that's where you're wrong, hater alert, #81.

But, I'm not going to bother wasting time discussing the issue with you as I can tell you're an angry person who's not interested in any but her own view.

Carry on.

85. who cares if she does drugs, who cares if she wastes her money who cares if she spends 300,000 on a hotel who cares ???? . its not your money she's spending!! all i see and all i hear is "brintey this britney that" and frankly im sick of it.. all the media does is sit on their stools and degrade her further than she could possibly do to her self.!! i see no one stepping up from their busy lives to help her out of the rutt she is so obviously is in. we are all human we all makes mistakes we are not perfect..!!!!! we as a soicety need to really deal with the main issues, and frankly she is not one of them...! ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WHAT WOULD JESUS DO..? the public is judging her for mistakes she has made! who we to judge?? if she is an upfit parent then she is unfit but one day she is gonna wake up and see the error of her ways. and beside those children will have to grow up knowing that their mommy was plastered all over the media spotlight because of her imperfections.

86. 2,000,000 deadbeat dads
289,000 deadbeat moms. you do the math
your numbers, not mine.

87. Actually, hater alert #81, I will say this:

I'm far from being a right-winger, never voted for any republican in my life, and so far can't see doing so any time in the future. Although the person I was hoping that Russell Feingold would run I'm quite content in supporting Hillary, and not just because she's a woman, although that will be a plus for our nation as all other western nations have already had females in the top leadership position. No, my reason is I think hse'll do a great job, especially after commander guy Dubya.

Also, I'm not even a Christian. And have a particular loathing for the evangewhackjobs.

What I think is that you want to keep females on a pedestal as somehow sainted and pure creatures, above all else, certainly above all men. I just want equality, and that's more than just acting out as Britney, Lindsay, Paris or other such doing.

Feminism was a fine and much needed movement as it was in its original state. But once the men-hating women, maybe such as yourself, gained the reins then, like so many other movements before it and since, it lost its way and became corrupted.

I don't care for the extremists from either side. Like the radical right wingers, those infamous 29%ers, you sound like you fit in with its counter-part on the left. Me? I'm in the middle with the majority looking for some sensibility to our society and trying to bust the myths down, such as the deadbeat dad myth as well as the Britney can do no wrong myth.

Anyway, enjoy, hater alert, you angry little minx, you!

But, hey, you just carry on with that anger and purposeful set of delusions. Why not? I mean, after all, you profit by the extremist societal engineered set up we have now.

something to your calculations.

90. I read it all and get it all. I just went to the bottom line.
Tthere are TWO MILLION DEADBEAT Dads
289,000 DEADBEAT Moms.
I support your points and accept them> Why can you not acknowledge the bottom line, supported by your own facts?
There are 6.92 times as many deadbeat dads. That means that there are almost seven of them for every one deadbeat mom.. That is the point that I have been trying to make to you.

Could perhaps the fact that men get paid more (another FACT) have anything to do with the women paying less in child support? Hmmmm... on a percentage based order that would make sense........

As I stated before, I respect and admire you for being the father many men can't be, and I have no sympathy for any person who does not do right by their children, man or woman.
I would think you would sympathize with anyone who is left to take 100% responsibilty for raising and supporting children, and not only men. That was and is my point. Using percentages and other statistics does not hide that bottom line that 1,711,000 more men than women are NOT supporting their children.
