Britney Wants Job As a Bartender? Huh?!

Britney SpearsA court-ordered-sober Britney Spears applied for a new job on Thursday as a ... wait for it ... bartender!!

Sources inside the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. tell TMZ Brit checked in Thursday and at around 10:30 PM went downstairs and started talking with a bartender.

We're told Spears told the bartender she wanted to do what she did -- then asked for and obtained an application from the night manager to work in the hotel's "Cameo Bar."

We're told the application is currently with Human Resources. The hotel website says the bar "serves imported and California wines, premium well drinks and appetizers ... signature drinks include Blood Orange, Key Lime and Raspberry Lemon Drop martinis."

This might be the worst possible gig for a mother trying to regain custody of her children, who is required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

Spears checked out the next morning. No word yet if the hotel is considering hiring Brit Brit to pour their booze.

302. Brit has a lot in common with Susan Smith. The only thing is that Britney hasn't killed her boys...yet....but she's certainly done enough to put them in harms way. Susan Smith didn't want her boys, she wanted a man. Brit doesn't want the boys....she's after a man...Justin again perhaps? Susan Smith played the party scene/Brit lives it daily. Susan Smith played to the cameras CONSTANTLY---including the required shedding of a tear now and then proclaiming her love for her boys. Brit---plays to the cameras DAILY and also sheds the crocodile tear while on her way to the next bar. Susan Smith strapped her boys in while she pushed them down a boat ramp and watched them die. Brit doesn't always bother to strap her boys in and when she does its while she's under the influence or acting crazy....so she too will be there to watch them die if there is--God forbid---a tragedy. Thank God K-Fed has the boys. Now...someone needs to watch HIS parenting skills because he hasn't been seen out much with the boys and he lets an UNGUARDED Nanny take the boys out and about. Either way...I still believe K-Fed has more of a heart. Britney was doted on as a child star...and now she can't handle doting on her own children. Where are all the people that HELP CHILD STARS recover and lead a normal life? One of them needs to contact Britney FAST.

305. I'm with you Reagan #15, I'm also a bartender manager and make alot of cash doing so. I would hire her in a minute, she could be a kick ass-et. She would bring in so much cash flow we may retire in a few months LOL

312. You can tell that Britney has a very low self-esteem. She has forgotten that she is a famous celebrity who should be guarded whereever she goes. She behaves like an ordinary person who goes out to places of her choice (not to mention those drive thru fast food chains). I think that's really the message that she's been sending us all...to leave her alone because she's only human who's no different than non-celebrities. I am actually concerned for her that one day someone will just take her life because of her closeness to the public. I hope that she admits to her addiction so that she can willfully go to rehab. She will be needing a long term treatment post-rehab with family intervention too.

313. maybe, britney wants her children away from her. who in the world would want their kids to live as she does. with the paparazzi all over her every move. maybe she felt that her kids would not be so subjected to all of this terror and lack of freedom with their father. it is quite obivious that she cant even visit a public restroom without the whole world knowing...who knows, maybe this is her way of protecting her children being "attacked" thus not having to keeping them in their home as a prison. at least with their father, he is not as stalked as she is. why else would she ignore all court procedures, etc...i mean, under the conditions she lives with the stalking, threats, public humilation, etc...she could be protecting them, and of course, the media is turning or rather twisting it as neglect and abuse. i do not think that anyone could even imagine what it must feel like not to be able to get in your car or go anywhere without a whole entourage of people surrounding her so intensely that she can not even walk. maybe this whole britney story of drugs, abuse, and so on is just a plot/ploy to distract the public in order to save her children and give them some freedom in their lives...just a thought thanks toni
