Britney Wants Job As a Bartender? Huh?!

Britney SpearsA court-ordered-sober Britney Spears applied for a new job on Thursday as a ... wait for it ... bartender!!

Sources inside the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. tell TMZ Brit checked in Thursday and at around 10:30 PM went downstairs and started talking with a bartender.

We're told Spears told the bartender she wanted to do what she did -- then asked for and obtained an application from the night manager to work in the hotel's "Cameo Bar."

We're told the application is currently with Human Resources. The hotel website says the bar "serves imported and California wines, premium well drinks and appetizers ... signature drinks include Blood Orange, Key Lime and Raspberry Lemon Drop martinis."

This might be the worst possible gig for a mother trying to regain custody of her children, who is required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

Spears checked out the next morning. No word yet if the hotel is considering hiring Brit Brit to pour their booze.

37. She is an attention-seeker and keeps trying to get it by any means. If TMZ and the others just left her alone for awhile, it would be interesting to see what she would come up with to bring back the spotlight! Wish they would give it a try.

40. Seriously, this sounds like Marie Antoinette dressing up as a shepherdess. Brit Brit has no clue what real people do in their ordinary lives. She indulges her whims and "plays" at work while drifting from Starbucks to Starbucks so the paps can snap pictures of her ordering endless frappuccinos.

43. Well if this IS TRUE now I've heard EVERYTHING! The pic is surely fake.....unless Brit is working in a bar at 10:30 at night with sun shining on her right arm as she's serving drinks! Yeah, right!!!! What a fake-ass dumb picture TMZ........sheeessssshh!!!

45. Where does T.Z.M.come up with this,Why would the court order that she get a job.Like #5 said.this is Stupid.tzm dont mind making money off her and her pain, i would like to see her get back on her feet and make it.i hope the best and her kids.
