David Hasselhoff Relapses and Is Hospitalized

TMZ has confirmed that David Hasselhoff has been hospitalized, as first reported by the National Enquirer.

Rep Judy Katz tells us that the Hoff did have a relapse and is in the hospital, but is doing fine. In an exclusive statement, Katz tells us "David had a brief relapse and immediately recognized the importance of addressing it with the assistance of his doctors. He is doing fine and will be back home in the morning".

As for how this will affect his custody case, sources say the children had been in ex-wife Pamela Bach's care for the last six weeks as he's been out of the country in Romania shooting "Anaconda 3."

We're told mediation is scheduled for Thursday.

We last saw the Hoff last Thursday night, outside of Koi with one of his daughters.

21. The networks will continue to glamorize this man who clearly exhibits LOSER BEHAVIOR and is selfish and not caring for his kids. I think the kds need to be put in foster care. I know that is bad, but better than these 2 parents who clearly do not have the kids' best interest at heart. STOP GLAMORIZING loser behavior...ban David H.

22. over night hospitalizations for alcohol intake points to a severe alcoholic,
livers and spleen and kidneys and body salt levels make them so sick you need to call an ambulance and bring them to hospital,
usually alcoholics leave the hospital just a day later, against advice, and keep on being in denial of their own severe condition
and this happens over and over and over and over year after year after year,
it is so sad for all the relatives who has to watch this slow suicide,
this super famous guy is only one of endless men with the exact same problem,
and there is no cure,
wonder why such a successful guy drinks himself to death and puts his family through this hell,
alcoholism can take anybody and make life a hell for their families, just through what the alcoholics do to themselves,
i don't think anyone who hasn't experienced it can imagine the ongoing hell, ESPECIALLY during sober times, because you just know he will do it to himself again... drink himself into a hospital and death eventually

25. It is very hard being great looking and then starting to age. It gets harder if not impossible to pick up 20 year old girls. Hell, he must be dating women his age. Can you imagine the pain?! It is down right depressing. It is not a wonder that he has to abuse some mind altering sustance.

28. Drinking alcohol is a choice and I so sick of people feeling sorry for an alcoholic...it was their choice to do it. I hope they rot in rehab. I don't feel one bit sorry for a person who is an alcoholic....LOSERS!

29. I haven't had a nice thought about this jerk since his last day as "Snapper" on "Young And The Restless".

Of course he relapsed, he's sick. His illnesses unfortunately aren't limited to alcoholism. Glad he got hospitalized but I'm not buying the bag of baloney again that it's he sought this road of recovery for it's true purpose.

Mr. Hasselhoff has one agenda: his immediate image. Now that his abuses are more obvious to his public is he taking strides to correct the "image" damages. It's certainly not for actually targeting the disease he's been ignoring for decades I promise you.

He's an ass, in every realm of the word.
