In a report filed by registered nurse Joanne Jones and first reported by the St. Petersburg Times, she says that Graziano responds only to a pinch and has a gag reflex, but doesn't respond to touch or sound.

His pupils are fixed and don't respond to light. According to Jones, Graziano's doctor says that his prognosis "remains guarded" and that John, 22, will "most likely spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home." John was also described as "comatose" and "on total life support."

Jones was hired by the Pinellas County court to determine Graziano's condition because his father, Edward Graziano, is seeking an independent guardian for his son.A hearing is set in St. Petersburg for tomorrow morning.

UPDATE: The clerk of the Pinellas County court tells TMZ that prior to the start of the hearing tomorrow morning, Judge Lauren Laughlin will hear arguments on a motion to continue the case until a later date by John's father Edward Graziano.

18. This had everything to do with street racing, not drinking and driving. Not to mention, even though Nick was driving, the driver of the other car SHOULD ALSO BE BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES.

19. so awful...you survive Iraq to "die" in a stupid car accident.
They will probably end up pulling the plug...and the Hogans keep going on.

Only the good die young...~sniff~ My prayers to this young soldier, a man who serve his country with pride and strength.

21. What a sad, tragic situation for the family. It's unbelievable that Nick is not going to have to take responsibility for what he has done. Our celebrity culture is working out very well for him - even though he has killed any hope of a normal life for what is supposed to be his best friend. I don't wish ill on the Hogans or anyone, but I certainly think Nick has a responsibility to attone for his recklessness.

22. I feel really bad for both Nick and John. Yes, Nick did something really stupid and will have to live with this for the rest of his life ,but you know he did not mean too do it on purpose. Its very sad that this how some lessons are taught . I hope both familes dont get nasty and start making this situation worse then it already is. Whatever the State of Florida gives Nick is up to them and I cant honestly say anything more other then that I pray for a miracle for john.

23. The kid should have been wearing his seatbelt, but Nick likes to show off and drive fast and he can't handle what's under the hood. Hope this haunts him for the rest of his life.

27. What a terrible tragedy for the family. How does someone live with themselves after being responsible for something like this? That's two lives destroyed, yet people of all ages continue to drink and drive and/or speed every single day.

28. Seatbelts, People, seatbelts!

Has anyone been cited in the crash? Just wondering if anyone knew.

How tragic for this young man and his family. One more life lesson: Choose your friends wisely and with care.

30. Look, this Nick idiot has been doing this and allowed to get away w/speeding on various occasions. This family needs to sue him and really, Nick should go to jail. He caused a death, practically...he needs to be punished...the sentence will be up to a jury, but man, throw this kid in jail.
