Hogan Pal Could Spend Life "In Nursing Home," Says Doc

The prognosis is looking grim for John Graziano, the ex-Marine and friend of Nick Hogan's who was severely injured in their crash, according to a new court filing.

In a report filed by registered nurse Joanne Jones and first reported by the St. Petersburg Times, she says that Graziano responds only to a pinch and has a gag reflex, but doesn't respond to touch or sound.

His pupils are fixed and don't respond to light. According to Jones, Graziano's doctor says that his prognosis "remains guarded" and that John, 22, will "most likely spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home." John was also described as "comatose" and "on total life support."

Jones was hired by the Pinellas County court to determine Graziano's condition because his father, Edward Graziano, is seeking an independent guardian for his son.A hearing is set in St. Petersburg for tomorrow morning.

UPDATE: The clerk of the Pinellas County court tells TMZ that prior to the start of the hearing tomorrow morning, Judge Lauren Laughlin will hear arguments on a motion to continue the case until a later date by John's father Edward Graziano.

47. I think they should sue the Hogan's as they are the ones who let him start racing and get the craziness in his mind. His friend is going to have a crappy life if he makes it and Nick will be able to go on racing another day. IT IS SICK!

What a sad story...I really think that the Graziano's have to go after Nick and his family for something - although, had their son been wearing his seatbelt (common sense when driving with such a maniac), this outcome would be different, and they have to accept some of the blame for his condition. NIck Hogan should be cited, the other driver should be cited, and all of them should have to do some sort of PSA on speed, seatbelts or something.

As for the Hogan family putting "good thoughts" out there on Graziano's condition - their publicists probably asked them to - just to keep the "buzz" going - it's sad that they couldn't tell the truth however, and now they seem lower than before. VH1 should cancel the show - no one needs to see this trainwreck family anymore - they've lied about all of this - and the fact that no charges have yet to be brought against Nick is just another episode of the F*****-up legal system for celebrities in this country.

54. This is just so sad. Go figure, he was fighting overseas, not harmed and he comes back to the states and is now basically a vegtable. So sad, very tragic and no one should go through this.

58. How tragic to have a young life cut short due to ignorance. Many of today's young people think they are invincible. I think it was very irresponsible of Nick Hogan or his family to make any statements about this young man's prognosis being so positive when it was obvious from the get go that the outcome was likely to be so grim.

My prayers are with both families. Nick Hogan should be punished. I know he must feel horrible, as must his parents, as they allowed this to happen by giving him too much and not enough rules & consequences. I pray this situation will also wake up people to the importance of seat belts. They are the LAW for a reason.

Let's strive to have one set of laws and punishments for everyone - no matter their age or affluence level (or being the child of someone rich or famous).
