64. yes..this is a terrible thing. and yes...nick hogan should be prosecuted and go to jail. but...john made the choice to get in the car with nick. i'm sorry people but some of the blame also lies at his door. i don't watch the hogan's or know too much about them (except for the hulk, of course) but from what i gather this kid has long been out of control. if john was as squeaky clean as he is being made out to be he would not have been partying with him in the first place. it's like my mother always said...if you lay down with dogs you are going to get fleas. i hope that all of the britney supporter's are paying attention to this story...she is headed down this same path...driving and drinking with no seat belts...and with her toddler children no less. of course i suppose that if britney was in nick hogan's position you all would be trying to blame the papparazzi, or kevin federline..or the family court judge. no one forced john to get in the car with nick hogan. no one forced him to be out partying and having a good time. this is a horrible tragedy and i feel for john's family. but at the same time i wonder how many times did nick and john go out cruising and partying before this happened...drinking and driving?

65. I think the police also need to be investigated. If it is my understanding Nick was pulled over several times for speeding (at speeds where us normal folk would have been charged with reckless driving and I believe the 2nd or 3rd time we would have lost our licenses). Yet Nick had 3? and still had his license. If the police weren't so star struck and money hungry this child would never have been allowed to drive until safety courses were taken and so on. But because his dad was famous in the 80s he gets away with speeding and now has made a US Soldier practically a vegetable.

67. i think its a terrible tragedy... overall nicks parents have done a great job raising him look at the children that other celebrities have pumped out. give me a break!!!! street racing has happened for YEARS. its terrible that the accident happened.... even more terrible that this young man will NEVER EVER be the same but again LIFE CHANGES IN ONE SECOND.... 72. This is terrible. Nick needs to lose his license for good and serve jail time. He shold have lost his license after the 2nd offense. They would have taken anyone else's.

73. To those of you that say we should feel sorry for Nick and not blame the parents- let me tell YOU something. If they were any kind of parents, they wouldn't have let their son drive racing cars in the 1st place at 16 and 17 years old. They also wouldn't have let him continue to drive these cars after numerous speeding warnings and tickets. That is not being a responsible parent. A responsible parent would have taken the cars away a long time ago. They are just as responsible if not as responsible for this tragedy.

And Nick- he is a spoiled selfish brat who has no sense of remorse. He deserves to be punished.

74. Nick is a thoughtless jerk. How can he live wih himself? Not like you could expect much better with the DNA in that family. Mom & sis are stupid wanna be whores and I think Dad got hit in the head a few too many times. I just hope this young mans family sues the hell out of them and Nick goes to jail where he belongs before he hurts someone else.

75. Hogan boy must be punished to the fullest extent of the law. What did he think? Showing off how fast his little cars could go would have zero consequence? Inexperience combined with immaturity equals zero winners.
