Judge to Britney: You Must Be Booked!

Britney Spears has just been ordered by a Los Angeles County judge to be booked for August's alleged hit-and-run, before her next court appearance on Oct. 25.

TMZ was in court just minutes ago with Brit's attorney Michael Flanagan, who tells us that Britney will comply with the court's decision.

Flanagan also tells TMZ that Britney is trying to work out a deal with the woman whose car she hit.

62. Being booked means that they think you commited an offense, your charged. Being convicted gets you to jail maybe, and in California not likely. She will have a mug shot get fingerprinted and be back out on th street in about an hour.

California once again shows why the fedes should take over the court system there: virtually no damage, no drugs, no alcohol, no personal injury, and no sense in any of the heads of the judicary. The time, money etc wasted on getting headlines might have put a violent offender in jail.

67. what the hell? If I was as famous and as stalked as britney I wouldnt leave my personal contact info on someones car.... how many times have everyone had their car dinged and no one left a note and we're left paying for the damage. this is a witch hunt already! and she had a license, it was a LA license, she probably just got confused and thought LA meant los angeles.
