Promoter Sues Diddy: Your Peeps Beat the S**t Out of Me!

Diddy is being sued in a New York County Court for allegedly directing his bodyguards to attack a man -- who claims he was just trying to introduce himself to the mogul.

TMZ obtained this lawsuit, filed by NYC nightclub promoter James Waldon, in which Waldon claims he was jumped during a party at hotspot "The Box."

According to the suit, Waldon was sitting across from Diddy in a booth on June 1, 2007, when he attempted to say "Hi." Waldon says Diddy gestured to his bodyguards to "forcibly remove" Waldon from the area. James claims he was punched, kicked and chased around the club, causing injuries like "bruises, contusions, lacerations ... and injuries to his mouth and his teeth."

James is also holding the club responsible because of their common knowledge of "Combs' reputation for, history of, and alleged involvement in violent altercations and confrontations in various premises, lounge and nightclub establishments across the country."

Waldon is suing Diddy and his entourage for $4 million, and asking the court to award him $500,000 from "The Box."

16. I hope the Corporations take note of Mr Diddy's antics. Any future sponsorships could be in jeopardy as lately Thuggery isnt playing well in Peoria anymore.

Will be glad to see when this Rap and Thug stuff becomes yesterdays way to be. Sharpton and Imus should be thanked for getting the ball rolling the other way.

Now can we please replace it with Family Values, Fatherhood, and Education as things to look up to and obtain?

After reading all the comments about P.Diddy I am saddened that this type of thing still goes on.I am also infuriated that you same people that have all these negative things to say about black people do not have the guts to say it openly. 25. What I find ridiculous is that it was reported that Diddy cussed out the door person at a restaurant or club when she asked how many were in his party. If that is indeed true, HOW RUDE!! That's her job to find out how many are in the party. Diddy was just being mean spirited by responding in such a way. Doesn't he know, you get more bees with honey than with vinegar? Any celebrity or normal person who acts like that should be ashamed of themselves! Did his mother raise him to be a rude and inconsiderate jerk? Probably not, he just turned into one.

27. To #21 Kirabear. You don't seem to understand that most people form an opinion because of the action of others. And the action of the men and women in the black community is not geared towards law abiding, intact families, education first. (Some do, most don't). Rather, the majority are focused on views that perceive them as victims and most have no intention of being fully responsible for their own actions. You are typical victim. 28. All of your comments are interesting to say the least. They express blatant racism, jelousy and hatred. Mr. Combs is considered a racist, Why? Are we presuming that Mr. Waldon is white? The article does not indicate Mr. Waldon's race. And of course Mr. Waldon, assumed white and a promoter of various hip hop bands, acted appropriately at this event. Surely he could not have been annoying or obnoxious. He just wanted to say "Hi"!! OK, DAH.--He is a promoter!
If we "open minded Americans" can step out of the black / white zone for one second, we might be able to see that there could possible be more to this story we know nothing about.

What is terrible sad is that the young ladies who may have been personally involved with Mr. Combs (and have nothing to do with this situation) are spoke about with such distaste, to the point of being considered whores. Why????

29. Funny - he was at a dance club called DC10 in Ibiza around August of this year, surrounded by his bodyguards but totally in the crowd, no velvet ropes or VIP treatment anywhere. He bought drugs openly while being filmed and didn't hurt a fly. I hear the crowd cheered when he left anyway! LOL

30. So sick of this little wimp walking around like he is the king. He is a wimp with money who pays people to stand up for him. Someone needs to tell him also that being a father of six children requires more than just handing over money. He is such a looser and I would love to see him go broke.
